I had one white and pink, cause I didn't like them too much and they were kind of unsafe to wear. But that my opinion.

I Have an orange tube top

I love those!

The "Units" tube tops were only 12" long and about $7 in solid colors. There might have been pattern colors too. You had to wear 2 or 3 of them to make them longer as a top or as a skirt lol! The "Multiples" tube top was about 24" long, about $10 at the time. So you were able to wear one Multiples tube as a top or as a skirt. Back then, Multiples even had a 48" tube! That you can wear as a one piece. Multiples is now Modbox.

Tube tops were worn with short shorts in the 80's, I had a number of them. They were nice looking and cooler to wear in the summer than t-shirts, but you had to be careful when reaching for something. They were also what you wore with shiny spandex pants for the disco or night club, so you didn't do any wild dance moves with your arms.

I wore them for awhile, until I had a "wardrobe malfunction" one night at a club. It was so embarrassing! I never wore them again.
