Description: Punky Brewster made this popular. You would wear at least 3 pairs of socks, one overlapping the next. If your shirt had red, white & blue then you would have on a pair of each color and then finish it off with some red Keds with white or blue shoe strings. I know mom was pissed on laundry day!

I loved to layer my sox! I remember going back to school shopping & looking for 2 different colored pairs that would match each new outfit. But, anymore than 2 layers and my shoes would feel too tight or my feet would be way sweaty!
I did this in elementary school (80's) along with everyone else, but in like 1998 I worked at a grocery store and this woman in her 30's wore the multiple layers of different color crew socks to work! With Keds and a stonewash mini. She was so out of style, she was the laughingstock for sure!
