Oh man, I had a pair of these when I was 8 years old, you had to buy them at Wal Mart, but they were so awesome. I would store my Pac Man quarters in the side pockets! Loved those!

Yes! I had a pair to when I was very little and loved them. My mom would give me pennies to keep in the pocket.

Oh man I remember those shoes! I would keep my quarters in the side pockets. Back when I was a young kid those shoes were so cool. I remember going to walmart to get them with my mom and couldn't wait to get home with them.

I was telling my co-workers that i had a pair and would put my change in the side pocket. I tried forever to find pictures to prove I was not making it up, but this definitely helps!

My husband has been teased for years over his, “Packrats!” I have a few vintage pair of, “Kangaroos,” and we argue about which ones are better! The Problem is there is yet to be one picture of Packrats that validate his claims! Lol so nobody really knows if they exist! Any pictures??

There were pack rats I had them the store still make shoes just not the kangaroo knock off.

I always said that pac rats were just generic kangaroos and go-bots were generic Transformers, lol. But I had them both back in 81-82 , lol, those where the days!

I'm glad you guys are here because evidently photos of these have been lost from the internet. For a second I was wondering if I misremembered Roos, but no! We had the knock-offs (that I loved).
