BAR-B-QUE pizza was the bees knees. Since Pizza Hut no longer makes it, I'm forced to make it at home. I honestly think Pizza Hut's version used BBQ pork, not beef.

I live in North Carolina and the Pizza Huts in our area still serve BBQ pizza at their buffets. It still seeems fairly popular since it goes rather quickly once it is put out. My husband always has to request them to make another one (it is his favorite).

Papa John's in California has a bbq pizza, it's delish.

I'm with Wendy, I thought it was gross. When I worked at KFC in 1984 I remember a friend of ours brought us one when he got off work at Pizza Hut and nobody would touch it.

It's still sold in some of the Southern Pizza Hutts. It's my favorite for sure. Any other bar bq pizza i've had has always been chicken which is nothing like pizza huts.

Pizza Hut's BBQ Pizza is one of the best. However, I understand how some are disgusted by it's unorthodox combination. It's really simple though. It's not BBQ pizza it's BBQ AND it's pizza. Hope that helped.

One of the Pizza Hut's in my area still carried. Hoever, I was looking to order a pizza today and see it's no longer on the menu! I was just doing a web search to see if it's been discontinued. I hope not because I really love it. BTW, I live in Tallahassee, FL. I've also gotten BBQ pizza a the Pizza Hut in Marathon, FL. I was getting it there for years when Tallahassee stopped carrying it. I was so glad when they brought it back. I'll be devastated if it's been discontinued again. Most other pizza restaurants that do BBQ pizzas use chicken instead of beef and I don't like that so much. I've made BBQ pizza at home so if it is gone again, I can resort to that.

Firs taco bell ditches "taco light" and "taco belgrande" then pudding pops, now barbeque pizza is gone and no one in my house thinks it was made since the 80's? The only thing I would dare eat from a crappy franchise premade pizza joint was that barbeque pizza...

The only place pizza hut sells bbq beef pizza is in kansas city the home of bbq. Lucky us if you ever make it to kansas city order one

BarBQ Pizza from Pizza Hut was the best in the world. My kids loved it and I would love to see Pizza Hut bring it back, maybe we should all get up a petition to get Pizza Hut to bring back that wonderful pizza!!!

Daytona Beach Florida Still has it, I am in NY now but ever 8 weeks I go back for and ORDER IT so good love the beed not chicken and it is great wish they bring it back to all the PIZZA HUTS

I worked at a Pizza Hut Delivery Unit back in the early 90's in Ft. Lauderdale Florida. This BBQ pizza was the top selling pizza back then! I loved it myself and wish so bad that the Pizza Huts here in Virginia sold them. I remember when we made them, they were usually always made with the pan dough (deep dish). We'd add a small amount of pizza sauce on top the dough, then a 1/2 cup of cheese, then pull apart pieces of the bbq which I'm not sure if it were pork or beef, then top it off with mozzarella and triple blend cheese. Run it through the oven, cut it and then the best pizza ever was made!! My husband makes his own pizzas all the time, and am going to have him try a bbq one next time. But the store bought BBQ sucks in my opinion. And it's a lot of work buying a Boston Butt, taking all day to cook it in a crock pot, then tear it into smaller pieces and get out as much fat as possible, then add the BBQ sauce and cook another hour in the crock pot, just to throw some on top a pizza. That's how I make my home made BBQ anyways. Boston Butt's are the tenderest meat (pork) for making BBQ. And cooking it in a crock pot for 24 hours does make it easier for the meat to fall off the bone and also makes the meat very very tender. Now if anyone knows of a good store bought, pre-made BBQ worth trying, please list the names please! And I always found Pizza Huts BBQ pizza better on the pan dough instead of hand-toss or thin dough. Anyways, sorry for rambling, but if your ever at a Pizza Hut and you see BBQ Pizza on their menu, try it! You'll definitely not regret it! This was truly the most amazing pizza ever!!!!

You can still order this pizza here in Alabama (Birmingham), it tastes awesome - order the deep dish version. I'm pretty sure it's BBQ beef. The sauce has a sweet bbq taste. It is the only pizza we order from Pizza Hut these days. We tried to make it at home, but can't find the brand of bbq at the store - anyone know what it is?

The Pizza Hut's in Kansas City all offer it, it's not on the menu but all you have to do is ask for it here.

You can get barbecue pizza in Okmulgee, OK; Tulsa, OK, and Minneapolis, Kansas. I just had some last night.

I live in Iowa, and we no longer have this pizza! We haven't seen light of this pizza for a decade and I miss being able to have it. Pizza Hut has had some really good pizzas in the past, but now I feel they are going downhill a bit. Not just the BBQ pizza, but they used to also have a really good Steak Lover's pizza with the A-1 on it. I wished they could bring that back also...

it was definately beef brisket. i loved this pizza. I wouldn't call it barbeque because i don't think the brisket was smoked like with authentic texas barbeque but i have gone to a local barbeque joint and gotten a half pound of chopped brisket covered it in sauce and then taken it to a local pizza shop and had them spoon it on the pizza and run it through. turned out pretty good.

If they don't carry it in your area, write Pizza Hut and let them know you want it! It was by far my favorite pizza. The BBQ Chicken is ok. www.pizzahut.com

I remember the BarBQ pizzas well. I made quite a few during my stint as a Pizza Hut cook in the summer of '88. I preferred the BarBQ sandwiches though. I ate a mountain of them when the boss wasn't around.

I grew up eating this pizza in crystal river, fl. Now I live in NY and they do not have it here, just other versions like the bbq chicken which doesnt compare! I went back to my hometown recently and was excited to have some again, called up, ordered it and got a bbq chicken pizza with diced chicken on it- not like the shredded beef used to be. So dissappointed :(

They still have it at the Monroe NC Pizza Hut. Its no longer on the Menu but if you ask they have it. We had one tonight and its still Awesome!!!

I live in Lawrenceville, GA. The pizza hut down the street still carry BBQ Pizza. It still tastes the same. My family has been ordering this pizza for over 20 years! This is truly the best pizza ever! PAN is the way to go.

Most Pizza Huts don't list the BBQ pizza on the menu anymore. A lot can still make it if they still sell the BBQ sandwich,if you ask.

The Pizza Hut on Jones rd in northwest Houston had it but stopped selling it about 2 years ago. I'm gonna find out who makes the Barbecue beef topping and buy it directly from them then put it on a large pan pizza myself. I LOVE the Barbecue pizza from Pizza Hut.I have been eating it since I was a little girl. My local Pizza Hut stopped making the Barbecue pizza about 5 years ago. I was so bummed out when they stopped making it. Recently I had heard that my Pizza Hut added Barbecue pizza back to the menu again, so I called last night and the rumor was TRUE!!! I ordered me a LARGE and had it for dinner last night and lunch today =) One happy girl right here =) By far it is the BEST Pizza in my eyes...

Tampa, Florida has BBQ pizzas but constantly run out.

I got online to see if there was a standard for the entire Pizza Hut chain and the way they make BBQ pizza and now realize it is different everywhere. Our town has 2 pizza Huts and both offer BBQ Beef Pizza with BBQ sauce as the base sauce and we went to another out of town tonight and I ordered it and it came with regular sauce instead of BBQ and it was not even close to being as good.

If you live in Tennessee, all of the Memphis area Pizza Huts still make BBQ pizzas. I get one every few months. I worked for Pizza Hut in the 80s. Back then, you could order either beef or pork BBQ which came in the big white tubs another poster referred to, but because some customers had a problem with pork products being used, the company switched to beef only.It was disgusting as hell to make, but I love the cooked product. BTW, the standard was to use regular crust and sauce. Some individual stores might have used BBQ sauce as a base, but that was definitely the exception not the rule.

Here in Central Florida Pizza Hut no longer has it on the menu but you can still order it and they do still make it.

The BBQ Lover's pizza went national at Pizza Hut about 3 years ago and the old BBQ pizza available in the South was dropped. I ordered one for my family in Ohio since I have loved them in Memphis for years. Total disappointment. The new pizza has bacon and ham along with beef, with BBQ sauce drizzled on top. Nothing like the original. Stopped me from going to Pizza Hut for two years

It's my favorite too! When the new Blake Shelton BBQ pizzas came out(yuck). It got harder to find a pizza hut with the original. I've never heard of the sandwich. Dang! I get my pizza fix when I go to my mom's house, an hour and a half away. There's one restaurant that still carries it. I wish they could see this board and bring it back everywhere!!!

Yeah, it's BBQ Beef Topping in a white tub. They had it when I worked there in 2001 and I got one a couple years ago (2015?). The trick is, it's no longer a topping. It's a specialty pizza.. so just like they have "Meat lovers" and "pepperoni lovers" you can get a "BBQ Beef" pizza. Only drawback is it will set you back at least 16 bucks. As a former employee who has tried just about everything, my absolute favorite pizza from them is a large pan crust with BBQ Beef, Bacon, Pineapple, and extra cheese.

BBQ & extra pineapple made with pizza sauce instead of bbq sauce was my go-to. Sounds weird but it was delicious!! I was a shift manager for Pizza Hut for about 6 years in a podunk town in SD waaaaay back when. (Best non-nursing job ever btw!! My manager rocked - RIP Jerry!) I LOVED the fettuccini and lasagna we carried, too, both neopolitan style (1/2 garlic Alfredo, 1/2 marinara sauce). They did away with both of those, too. Sad, sad times for lots of people. A lot of people loved dunking their breadsticks in the garlic Alfredo sauce. 😋 Wish they would come back with that, too!!! Bring it ALL back please?! 🥺 Anyone in the Denver metro area know of any Huts that carry the good ol’ BBQ still??

Shannon - same as you above!!! BBQ, pineapple with pizza sauce. It was the BEST - everything thought I was weird - which was fine, more for me lol. We have a local new place here where I live - that has the ingredients...so I just ordered a custom made bbq pineapple wood fired pizza. Cant wait to see if its like the old one Pizza Hut used to have. And good to know that KS has it still, will have to remember that in my travels. Great posts!!!

Our pizza hut used to have the barbq pizza in the late 90s for sure i used to hit the buffet in high school and request it. It was awesome, they also had sandwiches back then and wpuld load them down! I miss them good old days.

Just found a pizza hut in Eustis Florida that still has the original BBQ beef pizza, shredded BBQ beef on top of s regular cheese pizza. The lady said they were the only franchise she knew of. It's probably been 6 or more years and I can not freaking wait to order one!!!!

The Kannapolis, NC Pizza Hut still has the BBQ pizza. The one in Concord also has the Fiesta Taco pizza.

I just confirmed, Cocoa Beach Fl Pizza Hut STILL carries the original BBQ pizza!! I might just fly there so I can get some. Texas doesn’t carry it and when I lived in Tampa, they stopped carrying it.

This was the absolute best pizza. It’s so sad it’s no longer available. I don’t really care for any other kind. This was my favorite and I would get stuffed crust. Pretty sure the one I always ordered had bbq sauce instead of pizza sauce. I don’t like pizza sauce:(
