bonton was a very popular chip years ago. but now the BonTon label has gotten smaller but is still surviving while other labels are just memories. Larger companies still have a hard time getting market share in BonTon controlled markets. BonTon is the best "local Chip" . so, support the little guy and not the big corporate bullies.

For those of you looking for the bon ton chips...try your local dollar tree. That's where we have found them. It's a hit and miss though so give them a call. Also, to the person in Iraq. Thank you for your service. May the Lord bring you safely home to your family. Love a Mother of a Marine!

I used to love these chips when i was a kid in school. I cant find them anywhere bc the big corporate bullies (thank you taylor hollins for 1st calling them that) took over everything and have all those other chips in supermarkets that are nowhere near good as Bon Ton. i live on Long Island New York and we have a few Dollar Trees here but i doubt that they'll carry Bon Ton. I think I'll go look today and find out. The only Dollar Trees that'l probably have them are the ones in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

My mother and I used to share potato chips when I was a young boy, and I grew to love them. Never lost a taste for them no matter how many I ate. We ate Wise exclusively, and when I got older I doscovered that slightly greasy, wonderfully crisp creation called Bon Ton. I ate them at countless lunches and as a late night snack, and they'll always be my favorite. I'm just gonna have to live with a little roll around my middle, 'cause I'm not givin' them up.

Thank you Melissa. I grew up on Bon Ton and Wise. Wise was always salty and Bon Ton was just right. Once I left NYC, I no longer saw the brand and stopped eating chips.. they all seemed to be missing something...i.e. flavor, too greasy, too hard, etc. I hope they have some.. I'm wondering if the Bon Ton chips are still being made by the same company as they were years ago, because if I recall correctly, they were made in Brooklyn. The person above said his mother had trouble finding them in Jersey City. That's amazing. We used to get them in Jersey City, Brooklyn, Manhattan, etc - all over the NYC area. Great chips!

I just read up on Bon Tons and it appears they were always made in Pennsylvania. My bad. I remember it said "Brooklyn" on the bags though. Maybe an office or distributor? Oh yeah, and it was Kim in Iraq above who said his or her mother was looking for them in Jersey City. Anyway, happy chip hunting!

57states: Bon Ton used to be distributed by Clem Snacks, Inc. They had a big Bon-Ton sign on the roof of their warehouse adjacent to the Gowanus Expressway (I-278) in Brooklyn. At the time, the chips were made by Bon-Ton on Zinn's Quarry Road in York, PA. Clem is now distributing Utz chips in the NYC metro srea.

I absolutley loooooooove the ever so wonderful Bon Ton Salt and Vinegar Potatoe Chips of the 80's... those were my favorite chips n the whole world and its a terrible shame that they dont make em anymore.. if any one knows where i can get them holla at me.. im willing to travel.

For everyone intersted in getting Bon Ton products google Bickels sacks. On their website they have telephone number where you can get info on how to buy them. Also they sell the chips at their Hanover and NJ factories so if you are near them check it out.

It's easy to find Bonton BBQ and plain corn chips in Jersey City. Go to the C-Town on Bergen Avenue, a few blocks from Journal Square. They're on the rack towards the back, in the cereal and bread aisle (when they're not sold out, by guys like me). The Exxon Tiger Mart on the corner of Duncan and West Side Avenues also sells them. Go to towards the back rack, there are piles of them there.

I've always loved Bon Ton barbeque potato chips. I really wish they would start making then again. That will be awesome. I'd pay any amount to taste them again. I also love the barbeque corn chips too.

They used to be all over the place in the dc area, now just at hot dog stands and Murray's. Hot dog stand chips are stale more often than not, and Murray's is not close to me. Grew up eating the bbq corn chips, and still crave them all the time. Ordering a case tomorrow only cause I got their voicemail today!
