I grew up on Campbell's Meatball Alphabet Soup and look for it everytime I go to the grocery store. When did they stop making it? Bring it back!!!!

My son is in his 30's now, but remembers loving meatball alphabet soup. It was one of the few things he liked when he was a kid. Bring it back!

I would love to see this soup back on the shelves, I used to love it as a kid!!

I'm proud to say that I'm NOT all crazy! My husband had never heard of this and I distinctly remember this from childhood! I LOVED that stuff!! PLEASE, BRING IT BACK!!!!! I would love to share it with my 2 yr old son!

I miss this stuff. I searched all over Campbell's website trying to find it a couple times last year. I had it for lunch all the time growing up (on top of a Pac Man or Smurf tv tray).

As a kid in Brooklyn in the early 80's, I was given Meatball alphabet soup for dinner often--it seems like every weeknight, although I'm sure it was more like once or twice a week. It was my favorite. If I called my father right now and asked him, "Dad, what was my favorite dinner when we lived in Brooklyn?" he would not even have to think about it, he would laugh and say, Meatball Alphabet Soup! I'm so pleased to know that others remember it fondly, too!

Aaaah! Kindred spirits! My family makes so much fun of me because every time I get sick, even as an adult (I'm 30), I say "you know what would make me feel better?" and they all groan "meatball alphabet soup!" They must bring it back, they must.

I'm with you guys. I loved this stuff as a kid and was heartbroken when it got pulled. I would love to see it return to the shelves.

I loved this soup when I was younger... in fact i wrote to the company a few years ago and they sent me an email back saying they never made this kind of soup! I was like WHAT?? The employee Must've been someone who grew up in the 90s. :) Bring back MB Alphabet soup!!

OMG! I had meatball alphabet soup for school lunch all the time! I brown bagged it in a thermos and LOVED it! When they started phasing it out when I was in my early 20's, I sent for a list of stores that still had it, and would drive 30 miles to get it! Then it was gone....

i loved meatball alphabet. i've emailed campbells several times to find out why they pulled it and to see if they had any intention of bringing it back...never received an answer from them. everyone tells me to just go for italian wedding as a substitute but it's just not the same.

I used to love this soup growing up in the 80's...whether it was in my Thermos at school or in my Transformers soup bowl at home, it was my favorite soup, and I really wish they'd make it again.

I emailed Campbells and they responded that it was discontinued since it wasn't a big seller. I can't believe that, I ate enough Meatball Alphabet soup when I was younger to keep their business profitable :) Keep emaiing them, maybe we can get it brought back. I loved that soup!!!!

yeah i called them and told them about this web site the girl told me she would forward my comments i would be a great business decision for them to bring it back make a big deal about it its a time of depression we need things like old school soups again to bring people together they can have big commercials sales on it we need sales!

I'm so excited to find other people like me who remember this soup fondly! Like several of you, I also wrote to Campbell's to ask them about it and got an unhelpful answer. (Of course, any answer short of, "Here's where you can buy a can" would be unhelpful.) I wish this soup would come back. I used to adore it, even though I always spent 10 minutes picking all the green peas out before adding water. (Never liked peas...)

I'm 28 years old and I loved eating Meatball Alphabet Soup as a kid. I even ask my mom to look for it now. I'm really upset that they still don't make it anymore. Bring it back. That stuff was great!

I love this soup, and the ghosts of its discontinuation still haunt me as I pass by the Cambells food section in the store....I ate this 3-5 times a week growing up....LOVED it is an understatement. I always do a quick browse to see if someone at Cambells pulled their heads outta their butts and brought it back....Probably the same guys that discontinued ROLLERCOASTERS.....

Hell yes, this stuff was awesome. It was hearty and tasted great. I would only put a half-can of water to make the broth more intense and richer. Of all the things that grocery stores have yanked from my hands (Buc-Wheats, anyone?), this is the one I want back the most.

Meatball Alphabet Soup was served many time as my pre-game meal when I was growin up! Loved it!! Now I miss it!! Even at 36, I would love to see it make a reappearance! Some years back, I submitted a comment on their website.

This was the only way I would eat vegitables as a kid. They really need to bring this back. I still look for it when I go shopping..

While I was working on my MBA, we actually did a project on Campbell's soup. I am now 32, but can remember my mom buying Meatball Alphabet Soup for me by the case!! I would eat it for breakfast and lunch everyday. I called Campbell's and requested they bring this back. They MUST!!!!! :)

When I was a kid Mom used to ask me what I wanted to drink with my lunch (which was usually Meatball Alphabet Soup). I always said I wanted the soup gravy! The day I realized Mom's cupboard was out of Meatball Alphabet except for one can, I nearly cried. The day we ate that last can - and I think it had been in there for several years at that point - was the end of an era in our home. I email Campbell's Soup Co, too, petitioning the return of Meatball Alphabet. I've been pleading with them for years to bring it back - since the late 1990s. The answer is always the same, 'It declined in popularity so we halted production of it.' How can they say that? While I wait for the return, Campbell's Chunky Soup Sirlion Burger soup is a fair substitute, and it's probably a little better for you because it has extra vegetables in it... but there's just no flavor like the way the alphabet pasta soaked up the taste of meatball broth. Oh, great Meatball Alphabet... Where are you??

I also emailed Campbell's about this about ten years ago. Just got back a short reply, "Sorry, we no longer make this flavor." That was many a childhood dinner for me and I want it back!

It occurs to me that one thing you could do is get a can of the regular Alphabet soup and a can of Spaghettios and Meatballs and just remove the meatballs and put them in the Alphabet soup. The meatballs are identical, as I recall. Although I'm not confident the Alphabet soup is the same beef broth. Anyone know?

I checked at the store. Campbell's does indeed make alphabet soup in beef broth. The same exact thing, just without the meatballs. Get a can of Spaghettios & Meatballs, take the meatballs out, rinse the tomato sauce off them, and put them in the soup. Ta-da.

This was my favorite soup in the 80's!! One day my mom went to the store for her weekly groceries and was going to buy me more meatball soup, and she couldnt find it.....she looked thru the soup isle for like 15 minutes - all gone! I remember I was like 10 yrs old and I called the 1-800 Campbells number, they told me they stopped making it! I asked them to bring it back! I am still sad over this and I am now 30! I would love if they brought it back!

Too funny...my co-worker is sitting here eating Itallian Wedding soup and I inquired if she remembered the soup by campbells that had meatballs in it.....she made me feel as many of you felt when she gave me a strange look and replied NO followed by are you sure (LOL) Thanks for the confirmation and I too think they should BRING IT BACK!!

I'm eating Italian Wedding soup right now (a poor substitute) and was thinking about Meatball Alphabet soup. I am 40 and I miss it from my childhood. It goes back into the 70's.

I loved that soup growing up and forgot about it for awhile and then when i thought about it and started looking for it i relized i cant find it anywhere they must have stopped making it and 10 years later i thought to look on the internet and low and behold there are other people like me I am a chef and make great soups but that was a childhood memorie. id love to share abowl with the kids more

My brother and I loved this soup... I used to make it for us and by make I mean open the can and heat it up. I distinctly remember that the cans had 7 meatballs. My mom told me I had to split the soup equally so I would always eat the 7th meatball as I stirred- so sneaky. There is a frozen Meatball made by Mama Lucia that is a close comparison to the taste from Meatball Alphabet soup.

I LOVED this soup as a kid. I ate it at least 4 times a week. I used to put it over rice and eat a whopping bowl of it after school. Please, Campbells.... Do the right thing and bright this delicious goodness back to our local supermarkets!!

I just opened a can of spaghetti o's. Definitely not the same, but my mom and I just remembered her packing Meatball Alphabet Soup in my lunch in the early 90's before it was discontinued. Needless to say that we searched high and low for overstock just like I see everyone else on here.

I asked them about a decade ago to start making it again too, I LOVED that soup! Maybe if we all inundate their inbox with requests they will give in.

I LOVED meatball alphabet soup as a kid. My husband thinks I made this soup up because he never seen it in his life. So I have a few questions; WHY did they stop making this soup? WHERE did they sell this soup because not everyone remembers seeing it as a child? HOW can we get the soup back?

I am so glad to see I am not the only one that loved Meatball Alphabet soup! In my early 20s you could find it in only one store in our area. I shopped at that store for that reason, but then it was gone, so sad. I still miss it. I was searching the internet tonight thinking maybe I could get it straight from Campbells. To bad they stopped making it all together.

I have been thinking about Meatball Alphabet since I posted about it 3 years ago, LOL and want some so bad! That stuff was the best soup they ever made, I would buy it by the case now if they brought it back.....

I just found out that the Price Chopper in Kansas City sales vegetable soup that is alhpabet. It is the same thing, minus the meatballs. So I bought a case, threw it in a crock pot and added my own meatballs. Not the same, but close enough!! Check your local grocer for it!

I wondered for years why Campbell's Meatball Alphabet soup disappeared from our grocery store. I always though it was due to our location growing up or the supermarket we shopped at. I had it all the time as a kid. It was my absolute favorite Campbell's soup. My best friend and I talked about it quite a lot when we realized it was no longer showing up in our pantries at home. We each took it to school with us in our Thermos, and laughed during lunch when we both realized we had the same soup for lunch. I really wish Campbell's would bring it back. I know my son would love it too.

I also loved it...so much so that I still have an unopened can. Though I don't think I would like it anymore if I opened it.

This was my favorite soup when I was a kid!! I am 36 and I would love to share this soup with my own children. Even if Campbell's brought it back it wouldn't be the same thanks to today's regulations like using that awful sea salt in place of real salt.

I loved this and still crave it now that I'm in my 40's. When I've visited other states, I've checked to see if by some chance they were still selling Campbell's Meatball Vegetable. If the soup has such a wide following, Campbell would be wise to bring it back.

We used to have this soup and my mom even entered a contest and used 1 can of meatball alphabet soup and added some taco sauce and garlic powder and we ate it on tostada shells. It was awesome! Please bring it back!

I grew up with my great-aunt always having a can of Meatball Alphabet on hand for me. I miss her as much as I miss the fond memory of running down to her cold dark basement to her canned goods shelf and grabbing a can to warm up on the stove top. I have fond memories of being 11 or 12ish and feeding my nephew meatball alphabet soup. His favorite as well as mine. I would give him one meatball and then take 2 for me. It's hard to believe they stopped making it due to slow sales. Everyone I know misses it.

I’m now 58 & have fond memories of walking home from elementary school for lunch, tuning in to Family Feud & eating CAMPBELL’S MEATBALL ALPHABET SOUP!
