Ball Park made these, too! They had little nuggets of cheese throughout the dog! YUM!
I liked these when I was a kid, but now I would rename them to "Cholesterol Injection".
Frank-n-weenies! They also had chili filled ones. I liked the commercials for these. Frankenstein and bride would hoist the hotdogs up in the air to be struck by lightning. When they came back they were fill with gooey goodness!
Oh Lord I loved these things!!!! Would be as big as a house if they were around now!!!

Allison, fYI the correct name for the chili filled dogs is actually "Frankenstuffs" Gosh your such an idiot.
This is good for anyone who likes cheese and hot dogs. I like to put them in the oven for 15 minutes and enjoy 4 at a time!

I think they also made a bacon cheese one! I actually remember liking the chili one... wasn't it just so fun/gross to take a bite and see the chili squeeze out the other end. A little too suggestive of what it would do to you....
I know that they still sell them in Chicago, maybe they sell them other areas too.
I liked these as a kid, but now I think they're totally discusting! They still sell these in Chicago, under a new name and new packaging of course! They probably changed the cheese too because they definately do not taste the same.
I know that Oscar Mayer still makes the cheese hotdogs, I buy them every so often when they are on sale.

Oscar Meyer may have started it, but Nathan's makes THE BEST cheese-filled hot dogs. I remember the chili ones too--taking a bite then sucking all the chili out.
My 3 year old daughter LOVES the ones made by Oscar Mayer. Those are the only ones available in my area.
Totally have a craving for one!! Does anyone know how to get a cheese-filling injector for hot dogs? Anywhere online or in store? Thanks!
Follow-up to above, just found out, thanks to Vernal H (answers.yahoo.com). Vernal H.--thanks! Will have to try. "use a digital thermometer to make a hole through the hot dog. put some warm cheese-whiz in a baster and squeeze away. you may want to make a bunch at a time and freeze them."
These hot dogs were great! Just Cheese, Bacon & Cheese, Chili & Cheese, and Nacho Cheese. Yum! Only one they still make is just the cheese one. Gotta bring the others back. Please!
