Never a better flavor of Pringles. Didn't they come in a black can with yellow and green writing? I remember my Grandpa got them for us all the time. I wrote to Pringles and asked about them and shortly after they came out with those torengos or whatever they were called. Sent me back an email that said they were shocked at all the questions they received about the corn pringles and that was their "meeting in the middle" solution. It's just not the same.

I have been questioning myself for years if corn Pringles existed. I'm 22 years old, and I remember a time when I was about 4, at the grocery store. I saw a Pringles container, and it was black, with maybe a picture of a corn on it. I remember the smell and taste of corn Pringles to this day. My bf and I were talking about Pringles today, and asked him if corn Pringles existed. I looked it up on google, and it did! I can stop questioning myself about it...but I really do hope they put this flavor out again.

Guys, we seriously need to start a petition for the corn pringles, look at all the comments here! Children of the 80's, I know you remember that glorious black can that housed these beauties. They were like Dorito/Pringle hybrids. I must have them! They have literally released about 70 flavors of Pringles over the years, but they won't give us these. We need to do something!

God, I remember the flavor as if I had just eaten them yesterday...honestly the best pringle flavor known to man. Nobody I know remembers them (sad but true). I even called Pringles and asked them about the flavor after it had been discontinued, but they just told me they weren't making them anymore. *sigh* You here are my only true comrades in this battle.

Thank goodness there are other sane people out there that remember corn Pringles. Everytime I bring it up I am met with confused expressions and shakes of the head as if I'm the one with a bad memory. They were the best Pringles ever and I still to this day look for them when I pass the Pringles section of the grocery store. We've got to keep on fighting this good fight.

I really wish that someone at Proctor & Gamble would hear our cries and start producing the corn pringles once again. Whenever I ask people if they remember the corn pringle, it is as if I have alluded to some mythical beast. Corn Pringles are by a mile...the best and only flavour of pringles worth eating.It is not so obscure a chip as what some of you might think. Everyone i knew loved them back when they made them. The reason a food manufacture ceases a line ( it particularly seems to apply to popular lines of chips ), is to avoid canabalisation of it's other lines, and a lower overall sales total for its lines within that category. They stopped making them because they weren't popular?...what a load of whoo-ee! Bring back the CORN!!

Growing up I remember a black canister w/ corn on it, they must've been Corn Pringles w/ this AWESOME cheese flavoring sprinkled on top. That was over 15 years ago, but I remember the taste like it was yesteday!! They were just as good as the BBQ Munchos!! Anybody remember those?? They're gone too. People must think we're nuts, but it's hard to forget it! All my friends just laugh, cuz they don't remember. Poor saps!!!

Guys, I too miss that delicious flavor of the corn Pringles. It was actually in the mid-90's though, not the '80's. Well, although we may never have that exact chip again, there IS hope! Frito Lay recently introduced their, Tostitos brand in a "Yellow corn" flavor. It is AMAZING! It is VERY similar to the corn Pringles! It's a little more expensive than Doritos (as you only get 9 oz. vs 12 for the same price), but they are "Made with certified organic corn". Here are the ingredients: Whole organic yellow corn, expeller-pressed sunflower oil, and sea salt. (taken verbatim from the bag) Give these chips a try! You will INSTANTLY be transported back to your days with the corn Pringles. Then post a message here & give your opinion. I agree that not only were the corn Pringles the BEST flavor of Pringles, but also the BEST chip period! It was because of the corn Pringles I started buying Doritos more than any other chip. Also, if you REALLY want to try something cool, heat up a small amount of your favorite margarine (I prefer ICBINB) & dip these chips in it! It's a LOT like eating buttered corn. Perhaps that will be the next flavor. I can't say that these are exactly the same, but they are close enough to satisfy that decade-old desire for the best chips of all time.

I have VERY vivid memories of Corn Pringles. They were our snack of choice when we'd gather up the family for a day down at Black River in rural Missouri. I'm 28 now, but the thought of that perfect, roasty-sweet corn flavor brings back SO many good memories and makes me feel like a kid!

As many of you already stated, I to remember this wonderful snack. I am now 29 and also thought I only dreamed of them exhisting, but thankfully im not totally crazy. We would get them when my family would go camping throughout the state parks of wisconsin. I loved them greatly and yesterday while working a smell trigered this truely great memory of a time when the extinct corn pringle exhisted. It's never too late to bring them back oh makers of the great CP,please do. You'll have good sales, and if life has taught me one thing so far its to say you'll never know unless you make an effort. My father was in the military and we were stationed in Manheim, Germany in the mid 80's when I discovered the bright yellow can with the corn peeled halfway out of the husk. I remember the can being the only pringles can that you could touch and feel the engraving of the print. The texture of this particular pringle has never been duplicated and neither has the flavor. They didn't exist when we moved back to the states, but I've dreamt about this particular staple for years. I would love to purchase a can from anyone who may wish to sell. BUT, I am attempting to set up a facebook petition to bring them back. All of the failing flavors of pringle over the years. I notice no one mentioning the flavor lineup much. Where I lived, Corn Pringles came in three varieties.... Regular (which was way better than Frito's.) ... Ranch (which blew the doors off of Cool Ranch Doritos) .... and Cheese, which really didn't have a comparative rival. The cheese flavor is now on the regular Pringles potato chip lineup which is OK but not as good as when it was on the corn ones. I wonder if eating Frito's and the modern Cheese Pringles at the same time would spark a flavor flash-back :-\

I have always remembered corn Pringles since i had them as a child and, like many of you, still look for them in the grocery store "just in case" they would miraculously show up again. Great news! I just tasted a chip that actually exists that tastes EXACTLY as I remember Corn Pringles. They are Green Giant Multigrain Sweet Potato Chips - Sea Salt. Please try them and see if you feel the same and comment back. I discovered this by accident, but they definitely taste exactly like Corn Pringles!

Friends, our junk food prayers have been answered and the corn Pringles are back! I almost had a heart attack in Walgreen's yesterday when I saw them, like finding a long lost friend after all these years! The taste is as good as I recall from my childhood and there is now a ranch flavor in addition to plain and nacho cheese! I hope they sell well & remain on the market, I can't deal with them disappearing again.

I found the Pringles Tortillas at Walmart and grabbed a can to read the ingredients. I wanted to get 10 cans but I wanted to make sure they tasted the same. And.... They do!!!!! I just wish they had cheddar flavored as well. I have a few cans right now and just opened one up. So good with rotel or plain. I am entirely too excited about these. The weird thing was I was talking about them a week before I found them. So happy!!!! I'm stocking up on payday!!!!!

i loved these pringles. use to get them as a kid. I'm torn with the tortillas ones now. They seem a bit different taste and texture are pretty close to what i remember. but something seems different. i also miss the black can. to this day i still look for the black can. and people would look at me crazy when ever i brought it up. my husband who is 48 doesn't even remember these pringles and he loves pringles.

Finally back! After years of doing double-takes in the chip aisle, they released "Pringles Tortilla" which is ABSOLUTELY the same thing. They even have a few flavored versions.

Is it just me or do the "original" pringles taste like crap these days??/ I haven't bought them in many years but they were a staple back in the 80's... now they are horrible things which leave a nasty film in the mouth... not at all like I remember... perhaps it is the trans fats that used to be allowed to be used... not sure.. the new ones actually irritate my mouth and seem more chemical based... Yes as some have posted the closest thing we can get to the originals are Pringles Tortillas! Taste almost the same, a slight bit saltier. I bought a ridiculous amount of cans when they first hit the market. Now I am finding it harder and harder to find just Original they have the Tortillas series in stock bit flavored like Salsa or Cheese - not a fan.

I had some in about 1999ish & never saw them again. A truck driver left a whole case at my place of work and we all were told to take a can. My daughter & I sat home watching the movies we rented & ate the entire can!! They were sooo addictive!! The next day I saw several left & no one had take any, a lot were left so... I kept taking another & another can after can home. Finally, the magic box was empty & I had to go on a diet! Lol! (I will have to say, I do not remember them being in a Black can). In fact I am almost positive they were not. Im remembering an odd shaped tube can in a white pkg. I looked & looked for them like 6 months to a year later & found a can but... they were wayyy over salted & not at all the chips I remembered. Ive never found them again. Just was craving them & have never been able to find them! Like the rest of you, I thought maybe I had been mistaken & perhaps they did not come in a can at all! Then I googled them but just asked about corn tortilla chips in a can. (Wasnt sure if Pringles made them). Finally, just googled Pringles & here you all are, talking about a black can! Guess it wasnt the same but OMG, the ones from the truck sound so much like what you guys are describing. Oh well... who knows...🤷🏻‍♀️
