They were good. They were actually made by Anheuser-Busch.... The logo was on the bag.
Eagle Snacks is back and they're in the potato chip business. The brand is now owned by Procter & Gamble Co., used under license by Reserve Brands LLC.
These were great! I remember one of the commercials used Duck Hunt from the NES as part of the ad! They were great chips too!
They were damn good chips. (Best ever? I don't know.) I have not seen any new potato chip bags recently but I have seen some "Eagle" brand products. Onion Puffs or something.
They made the best snack mix ever. Pretzels, honey roasted peanuts, and cheddar crisps.
I use to love eagle brand pretels,then they stopped making them. Grocery stores stopped carring them. Can they bring them back? They were made like small X-mas trees.
Mmmm...they had some of the best snacks. Reminds me of vacations, riding in the car to a summer destination.

This brand has carried the Cape Cod name for years. Not as good as when it carried the Eagle name, but still better then Lay's

I miss these chips every time I see the scene in Home Alone 2 when Kevin is in the hotel room in New York and he has these chips.
The company went belly up, I used to be a receiver in a grocery store in the mid to late 90s and these were one of the most popular salty snacks in the store(next to Frito Lay that is). Grocery stores can't carry 'em if they're not being made.
Absolutely my favorite chip, H.G Hills in Nashville used to carry them.
I loved Eagle Potato chips when i was a kid. My best friend Sean introduced them to me. We would eat them anytime i stayed at his house for the night. RIP Sean
they quite making them,,,they were owned by Anheuser-Busch company...when i drove semi truck, i use to deliver at their factorys...they were very picky about the potato,s they recieved

I just tried your Buffalo Wing flavored peanuts, and I must say, they are "Awesome!" I look forward to trying more of them.
i can still remember the taste of the bbq chips!! they were the tastiest chips ever. i loved the snack mix too!! somebody please bring them back to us!!

Eagle Barbecue Chips are the BEST!!
Eagle had the best Barbeque chips bay a landslide. And their thick cut chips were fantastic. Does anyone know if they are comming back out again or not?
I have been on a hunt for the Eagle snack mix for YEARS!! I used to love it when I was younger and have been craving it ever since.Please,please bring it back!!My family talks about it all of the time!!
Remember this brand very well, been missing them for 15yrs wish they would be brought back again! the had the best cheese curls!
Like the rest of you I miss the Eagle brand potato chips. They used to market the chips I dig out of any brands bag - the "foldies", chips that flip over when cooking. Eagle made bags of "foldies" that were cooked longer giving them a dark golden or light brown color. Delicious.
Nothing compared to Eagle Snack Mix - I think the thing that set it apart was its simplicity: pretzels, honey roasted peanuts, and bacon-flavored cheese crackers. Sometimes I'll mix up my own batch and I gotta tell ya... it's pretty close. Just can't find that perfect bacon cheese cracker. We ALWAYS had this mix sitting around in bowls at Christmas. Oh how I miss it!

Eagle Brand Potato Chips have always been my favorite chips even though super markets generally displayed them below the other name brands. When I couldn't find them any longer I of course blamed the stores. Sad to think they are out of business.
They were the only company to make the dark, russet potato chip. Best ever. No one has made them since.
I continue to look for the bacon cheese crackers from Eagle snacks. They were the best!
Eagle Brand Snack mix was the best snack mix on earth!!!!! I loved it and I just can't believe they stopped making it. I have been looking for it for years. I know it would do well if they brought it back. Nothing compares!
When I was staying in New Hampshire as a kid I had some Mesquite Barbecue chips. The absolute best chips I had ever had.
Used to eat Eagle brand chips all the time when I was a kid. I really miss them they were the best.
Love the Eagle brand honey roasted peanuts. Food Lion in the south used to sell them 3 yrs ago. They really need to bring them back, the other honey roasted peanut makers can't compare!
cape cod chips did not take over the recipes for eagle brand chips. totally different taste

I was just craving their snack mix. Pretzels, honey roasted peanuts and bacon crackers. I lived on this when I was eighteen and on my own for the first time. We should convince somebody to manufacture it again!

Eagle Brand Potato chips were the fresh light and crisp all of the time. I have never tasted a better potato chip yet!
Trish (3/23/13) is correct. Eagle Brand chips were bought from Anheuser-Busch by Frito Lay and quickly taken off the market. I believe it was to reduce competition and increase capacity in one stroke.
Utz has a dark russet chip and it's quite tasty but Eagle had the best. Those were sooo freakin good!
I used to call the chips - brain food. I ate my weight in those chips while studying in college. I am so sad they are gone. Just disappeared one day! Oh how I wish they were back, best chips ever sold.
These chips got me through my 1st pregnancy. Cloest thing ot them is Lay's. But, not so much. Come back!!!!!!
Eagle Brand Honey Roasted Peanuts were THE BEST! Nothing since compares. Remember, it was a trial/Sample program through Southwest Airlines that got them going.

Eagle chips will never come back the company was bought by Frito Lay and intentially closed due to cutting into its profits
I got addicted to Eagle Mesquite Barbeque Snacks when I was used to travel to Miami in the late 80ies a lot. I always took a big suitcase full of them back to Germany. Until now, all over the world, I never tasted such awesome chips again. Since 25 years I miss them.Wish I'd have the recipe. ..
I miss Eagle Thin Potato Chips! They were the best chips I have had in my whole life. I can't believe that I still think about them! I wish that Frito Lay would use this recipe and market them under their own product name. Please!!

Back in the day Eagle chips were all I ate, my dog loved them too! My dog would not eat any other brand of chips. I wish they still made them.
My mom always had the kettle cooked chips made by Eagle on our counter. When my friends and I came in with the MUNCHIES, it was a done deal. These were the best chips ever!
