Funny Faces rocked!!! I really miss them. You could buy plastic cups if I remember correctly. Every flavor had a different character for it. I think it was discontinued because it wasn't very politcally correct (some of the names of the flavors and characters).

I actually just remebered that they just changed the names of the flavor characters...not really sure why it was discontinued. It did come in canisters though...that I am sure of. It was also out in the sixties too!!!

We had all of the funny face plastic mugs when I was a kid. CHOO CHOO Cherry was my favorite. I miss them!

Came out in 1964 and was more of a 60s/70s food

The early, offensive Funny Face characters were Chinese Cherry and Injun Orange. Both were changed to less-offensive names by late 1965. Then, 1970, another offensive one, a chocolate mix (guess the ethnicity). Pillsbury dropped Funny Face in 1974, lagging in sales behind Kool Aid and other new competition. Saturday morning TV commercial aired on "Tennessee Tuxedo" cartoon show over CBS (10/2/65), on YouTube.
