Description
It was instant Jello that you had to make in the blender. When you put it in the fridge, it separated into three layers...a creamy top, a mousse-like middle, and plain Jello bottom...strawberry and orange. I miss it.

Jello 123 was the best. I found a website about it and signed a petition to bring it back.

Words cannot express how much I loved this stuff. I have written letters and signed petitions - still no Jello 1-2-3. I miss it.

If you are a Jello 123 fanatic, try Junket layered dessert - it's pretty close. I ate a ton of this when I got some teeth pulled last summer. If you're on the east coast - you can get it at Shop Rite.

I totally forgot about this yummy layered treat until I found this website! This stuff was so good on a hot summer day! Good to know there are alternatives to this discontinued snack!

Dr. Oetker makes a similar product called Trio Treat. I bought a box in Big Lots a few weeks ago but haven't tried it yet. You need a blender to make it and mine is broken. :( I checked the Dr. Oetker website and it says it comes in 4 flavors, grape, orange, lime and strawberry. I got the strawberry. I don't know if any other stores sell it in the U.S., but you can buy it off their website. Amazon also sells it. Just google Dr. Oetker Trio Treat.

I loved it when I came home from school and my mom had Jello 1-2-3 sitting on the pantry counter cooling, I would sit and watch it seperate, before she would refridgerate it, I miss those days, But I found a clone 123 I am going to try and another one craft has on it's site,HOPE it taste as good as the original one. PLEASE BRING IT BACK :(

DOn't beat me down guys, but I didn't like it at all. It's a shame because I thought it looked so neat to eat! Bill Cobsy would be so ashamed of me...

I have 3 boxes of 123 Jello, 1 strawberry, 2 orange. Don't know why I'm saving them...maybe because I know I can't ever buy them again!

This stuff was fantastic. I can still remember the house where I had it, and the glass that my mom made it in. The memory is like an animated gif. file.

I too have adored this yummy treat since my youth my favorite layer was the middle! This was brought back all too briefly in the '90's and then disappeared (again)! The closest I have come is the new ready made jello temptations in the frig section namely the lemon meringue..only 2 layers but not bad at all kids!

My Mom used to put this in wine glasses or the little cream cheese spread jars in the fridge leaning on the side of the fridge wall. This would give the finished dessert a slant and she would top it with cool whip! I loved looking in the fridge after school knowing what dessert after dinner would be!!

I absolutely LOVED this stuff! The middle layer was my favorite. I buy the Dr Oetker version on Amazon now, but there's nothing like the original.

I have the last box of "mixed berry" and if anyone is desperate, they can bid on it currently listed on eBay. There is hope :-)

Maybe now that Scully on the x-files made a big deal about it and also made it, jello will bring it back
DNA - February 01, 2018 - Report this comment
Janet I came here just to post the same thing! But maybe Scully was right, I need to just enjoy the memory

Don't remember my mom ever making this, but my grandmother did. Only it was well before 1969, and the name was Chiffon-something-or-other, as best as I can remember. She had no blender, so must have used her hand mixer. It also made 3 layers, and my favorite was the foamy, spongy top layer. Is anyone old enough to remember the correct name of this other dessert mix? Heck, maybe it was a local store brand. I truly don't remember ever seeing a Jell-O 1-2-3 box at Grandma's house.

I ate Jello 1-2-3 when I was a little kid in the 70s. Years later, I discovered that when you whip regular Jello (with a hand mixer) before freezing it, the end product is sort of like 1-2-3....
