Add one more vote for bringing these back. They were my favorite summertime treat. I used to eat several in a row sitting on the front porch of my grandma's house. She always kept her freezer stocked with them because she knew I liked them so much. Someone else mentioned the texture--it was great, wasn't it? You could sink your teeth into it, unlike hard popsicles. It's definitely time for a comeback.

They still make these, however "Popsicle" brand owns them now, and they are marketed as JELLO Pudding pops. So, I bought a box... not even close to the original!! Don't buy the new ones, you'll be disappointed.

Yeah the closest thing to frozen confection perfection! The last time I can remember buying a box was about 12-13 years ago. They were great flavors I really liked the orange ones too. Rainbow and shrek push- ups are pretty tasty. I think the recipe is missing the slightly creamy element the gelatin pop had.

I, too, check the frozen isle everytime I go to the grocery store in hopes that I will find my all time favorite popsickle! I had chronic tonsilitis as a child and this was the only thing soothing enough to eat. I was devastated when they took them off the shelf. I soooo wish they would bring them back!

Gelatin Pops used to be one of my favorite childhood cold treats, and I still miss them after all these years. At least I'm not the only one! Why would they discontinue such a great product? :(

I loved these things! I was at a box a week back in the day. You can make them but it takes time. Dan is right about the commercial, make jello as usual and then put it in the blender whip it for 6-10 min, put in freezer for ten min, repeat every ten min until mix is cream smooth and thickish, poor into molds. careful not to over or under mix. It took me a couple tries to get it right.

and adding a little whipping cream, corn syrup and, sugar helps a lot to keep it from getting foamy

I can't remember the flavor of these bars but I know they were so good; I still remember exactly how they looked and how the texture was. I loved the fruit ones, I think they had a chocolate one as well. I can still remember my husky levi wearing self chew into the outside ice sheet and into the soft fruit-yello like texture....delicious. I'm getting a bit emotional they were so good, but I can't just goto the store and get some. I would with no word of a lie, pay $50 for a box right now. The gelatin pops were good, and so were the pudding pops, but my favorites, by far, were the Jell-o Fruit & Cream bars. Sadly, only the pudding pops have been resurrected, and in a sad mockery of their original form, to boot.

Yes the frozen jello fruit pops were the best!!! They were a creamy delight. KRAFt/JELLO should definitely find their original receipe and start producing them again. THEY WOULD SELL OUT! They were my favorite as a kid and I know they would become my favorite as an adult!!!

you can actually make your own jell o pops. Make a box of jello according to the instructions, and add 1/3 cuo sugar, freeze in popsicle holders. You have to use regular jello, the diet will not work for this, and to get the right texture, you have to use the sugar

Was just sayin last night that I wish they still made Jello Pops! Raspberry was the best! I was eating a Blue Bunny Slush Pop, and it kind of reminded me of the gelatin pops, same consistency...sort of. I have seen pudding pops but never see the gelatin ones.

They came out before 86; they are mostly listed as having come out in 81 (although 82 or 83 are possibilities also). And the variety pack was raspberry, strawberry, and orange, not mixed berry.

My brother and I used to love the Jello Pudding Pops. Now at Target they have pudding pops made by Kemps. I was so excited that I bought 2 boxes!

My wife used to work for the company and luckily knew the recipe through word of mouth. Make the package of gelatin according to directions, raspberry my fave, then mix in 1/2-2/3 cup Cool Whip until well blended. Freeze in paper ccups or molds. Makes 6-8 I make these all the time and pretty much taste like the original ones. Only thing missing would be the icy coating they used to have. I can still remember that first snap :) oh and the pudding pops are the same recipe. We made those last week and oh boy are they amazing. Both very close to original. (For pudding pop the stovetop is ideal but instant will be also close)

I cannot wait to make these. Not trying to ruffle any feathers, but I have never been a fan of cool whip. We always made whipped cream with heavy cream, powdered sugar, and the seeds from a real vanilla bean, wonder if the two are interchangeable? Guess I have some serious face stuffing/research to do.

I HATE it so much when I fall in love with a product then all of a sudden can't get it anymore. I loved them and loved giving them to my kids back then. They didn't get messy & drippy like others. Wish I could get them for Grandkids!

I found a recipe a long time ago I don't think it had any added sugar but it did have an extra step. Allow jello to partially or fully set and then blend with a hand mixer until frothy, THEN put into pop molds with sticks to freeze. The texture is better. If I refind the actual recipe I will post it.
