Lol I used to just eat the powder right out of the packet. I preferred it that way rather than adding water. =] YUM!

This is what you ate if it was like 2 hrs after dinner and you were still hungry. When we got our 1st microwave we got micro safe coffee/soup cups and you poured this soup in, added water and put it in for about a min.

I used to drink their soups out of my canteen when I was in the Army in the field. I hated field rations so Lipton's kept me going when I couldn't take another John Wayne bar. Yechhhh!! I also send it to my nephew in Afghanistan. He loves it!

Me too!! I stopped buying it when Liptons stopped making the Split Pea flavor.

My favority was Cream of Mushroom. Had a great flavor for "powder in an envelope" added to hot water!

I used to eat the regular chicken noodle one and the beef with the same noodles. When we had no microwave, we made it on stove in a little pan, after microwave, we made it the way you other folks did. Sometimes Id open the packet and eat the bouillon powder plain! lots of salt but I never cared. I have LOW BP as an adult, so it didn't kill me anyway. Sometimes I thought the cup of soup wasn't salty ENOUGH and I would sneak a second packet out and separate the powder from more noodles, and add it into my soup.

My mom rarely bought these so I grew up primarily eating Campbell's Chicken Noodle Soup which I love. But when she did by the Lipton Soup it was always a treat. I recently tried a box though and it just does NOT taste the same. Too salty, but maybe it's just my taste buds that have changed.

Came out in 1972 and was extremely popular, especially before everybody had a microwave
