I don't remember Fiesta McNuggets from that ear but I remember Oriental McNuggets with Teriyaki sauce and other flavored sauces.

I do indeed remember these! I just wish i could remember the sauces that went with them :( I'd try to copycat them. Also, there are lots of copycat recipes for McNuggets out there, some of them quite good,

I don't remember Fiesta, but I remember Shangihi McNuggets, too! And a holiday version with cranberry sauce and something else...

I don't remember these, but I wonder if it had to do with the olympics. Cause now they have a special sweet chile sauce out now that they are marketing as what they're getting in the olympic village.

I do remember a period where McDonald's offered all these Mexican inspired sauces, becuase I remember that a couple of my friends and I mixed all the sauces together in a bucket and made my little brother drink it.

During the fiesta promo McDonalds was giving out coins from different countries in Central/South America with each fiesta mcnuggets purchase.

I was only two then, but cleaning out my grandads house I found two cardboard coin holders with fiesta chicken mcnuggets on it and a few coins with them. Trying to figure out what to do with them

So this promotion came out in 1988. You ordered a 9 piece or 20 piece nuggets and they came with three new sauces- mesquite bbq, zesty green chili salsa, and mild salsa. You also got either one (9 piece) or two (20 piece) Latin American coins along with a collector's board for all six countries you could collect. The countries were Argentina, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Guatemala, Peru, and Venezuela.

I have two cases of fiesta coins 400 ct. Each. Wanna trip down memory lane. Buy them. Or I'll probably open each one and hit the currency exchange!
