i used to have to fight my mom in the grocery store 4 these every week she always said white chocolate was nastey these were the bestttttttt.

Nestle makes the very best... N-E-S-T-L-E-S....creamy white...Alpine White......... Ahhh Good memories...tasted like lard though...

Alpine was my number 1 choice when I was younger. It still is! Hershey's created something similar but with whole almonds and it wasn't as good. When I came to America, I've been looking for Alpine...I miss it so much!

"Tasted like buttery sweetness" is the proper word for this candy. I still have happy dreams where I find one and eat it. I wish they still made them, I begin my weekly habit of eating one again.

Definitely one of the greatest commercials of the 80's!! My grandmother used to buy them for me when she went shopping. I really liked them, and I loved the commercial, the advertising was just fantastic. You can see it on youtube.

i'm only 22 and i can still remember eating these things. i had to beg my mom to buy them for me. i would pay almost anything to have one. they were and still are my favorite candy bar!

My mom LOVED these and got me liking them also! Wish I could eat one now.. I love the crushed almonds and how thin the bar was!

I've been craving an Alpine White for the last...I don't even know how many years! The closest I've come to white chocolate that tasted so good was a few weeks ago. I found a candy bar in Germany that was pretty good, but no Alpine White.

I remember going to the store as a young girl and spending my money on Alpine Bars. They were the best!! Nestle needs to make them again!

I have been in a serious hunt for this damn candy bar, to then find out it isn't being made anymore. I could just cry I tell you. I have the fondest memories of alpine white, if I try hard enough I could still taste it. I pray it'll come back one day.

I have been searching for the Alpine for years, only to find out it does not exist anymore! I have contacted Nestle several times asking them to consider making them again! Maybe if we keep contacting the company they will realize how much the Alpine is missed!

Now I know why I've been eating white chocolate for years and can never finish a bar, always unsatisfied...it's not an ALPINE WHITE! I had forgotten that it was a specific brand that I used to eat until I saw it on this site!

LOL.... I feel the same way about this candy bar. My story relates to you all in a sense I have been searching for this candy for years and across the states everywhere I went and finally came to know a couple of years ago that they do not make them anymore.... i want them back!!! its a childhood memory of mine as well... we should make nestle bring it back!!!

If you take Nestle White Chocolate Chips and melt them...then take smoked almonds and chop them up in a food processor....mix them together, spread out on foil or waxed paper then put in the refrigderator to set....break up into pieces and it tastes just like the old Alpine lace bars! :)

I don't like sweets too much but this was the only chocolate I would eat. That beloved alpine white chocolate. I still remember the taste as of this day and that darn nestle wont make anymore!

Alpine white was my favorite candy as a child, i remember being so young that i couldnt even say the name right, i called them "all plain white", god i miss that candy.

Alpine White brings back fond childhood memories...yumyum...I work for nestle , i suggest you guys email or contact them via customer services..just to show that there is demand for the product. The company is currently re-investing in new lines of chocolates, maybe they could make one with a similar taste profile!

yeah... nestle should bring alpine white back in the market. I'm so glad that many share the same sentiments with this best white chocolate. nothing else compares to alpine white. I also miss Barnone chocolate. They brought it back in early 2000 and it disappeared. PLEASE BRING BACK THESE WONDERFUL CHOCOLATES IN THE STORE SHELVES!!!!

I'm not much of a chocolate person, but the Alpine White was one of the few candy bars I really liked. I was just thinking about it again recently. It's a shame such a great product is no longer available.

I can remember walking in the hot texas sun from my grandmas house down to a little store out in the country.Seeing snakes n turantulas was worth getting to that store and getting a Big Red and an alpine white chocolate w/almonds! Please bring them back i would still walk through snakes n spiders to eat one!!!!!!!!!

Well, for those of us who loved Nestle Alpine white I've got good news for you. Lindt makes a Grandeur bar that's white chocolate with whole and carmelized almond pieces so it's just like an Alpine White but it also has whole Almonds. It's good. ;)

Yeah, I've tried that Lindt Grandeur bar in white chocolate with almonds...It's indeed the closest to ALPINE WHITE...But nothing beats Alpine White...

MAY-NE!!! I am relieved to know that I was not the only one addicted to these as a child...after I sincerely began to believe it was a figment of my imagination......I don't even know if they would be the same if they brought them back...Nestle Crunch bars aren't even the same anymore...

My best memories are my grandfather George taking me to store and on the way home enjoy the greatest candy bar know to man!!! Alpine I miss you!!!! Gotta love these memories.

i miss these bars!!! my favorite memory of them was being a kid in the philippines and my mom would send us packages every 3 months or so and inside would be packs and packs of these bars! i attacked those boxes like a rabid dog! how i miss my alpine

Oh man, I am such a nostalgic person, most especially when it comes to food. I too reminisce at least a few times a year about the Nestle Alpine White bars, which in fact led me to this page. My Dad is a chocolate maniac but does not enjoy the white, so my Mom and I would always get Alpines at the grocery check-outs so we'd actually get to eat some! I HATE when foods I love disappear, and it seems to happen to me A LOT! Crystal Pepsi, Nutty Wheat Thins, Sun Crunch,... the list goes on and on. Like one person mentioned, my greatest fear is Nestle "re-issuing" it and it not having that special Alpine taste... Dang.

My husband & I have been talking about Nestlé Alpine White bars off & on for a few years now! They were our favorite candy bar, been trying to find info about them. I was very happy to find this site. We thought we were the only ones missing these candy bars so much! My husband used to get them in those "snack" boxes at work, he would surprise me by bringing one home in his lunchbox to share with me!I always bought them at the supermarket checkout too! Funny that a candy bar can bring back such happy memories of our early years together! Wish they would bring this candy bar back, it would be a great anniversary present to surprise my husband with!!

LOL!!! Elaine, I thought the Same thing! I'd question myself from time to time..."did I REALLY fabricate these Distinct childhood memories of indulging in THE BEST white choc bar w/ almonds I'd ever come across??? How could this be when I could still remember the Exact taste?!...and why would my mind just falsify something like this???". I seriously began to doubt its existance but for the sake of my sanity, I REFUSED to let it rest. I remember being 5 or 6yrs old & neatly nibbling around each letter. Then contently eating each letter one at a time. 23yrs later, I'm so glad to see that I'm not the only one still hung up on its goodness :)

These were a staple in my middle school cafeteria vending machine back in the mid 80's and were usually the first candy bar to sell out...had at least one or two ever week. :)

Man.....my sister and i would walk down the street to the Handy Way just to get Alpine Whites. I can litetally still taste them. We used to look for them everywhere. I hardly ever eat white chocolate now for the simple reason that it NEVER tastes like Alpine. Sigh.....

When I first came to the states from Jamaica this was the only candy bar people could buy me that made it ok to live here in America :) 20 plus years later still haven't found nothing that compares

That bar brings me back such good memories. I used to always share a piece with my crush. Only she I would give any. She'd even take a piece if I had bit into it. If only they hadn't discontinued it, maybe she would have been my bride :(

I at this as a child in the early 90's and loved it. A couple decades later I developed a craving for it but no one in the world compares to the taste of white chocolate and crushed almonds Of Nestle. I wish they brought it back even for a limited time so I can remind my childhood again and share the awesomeness of this delectable confectionary treat.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading everyone's comments about this iconic chocolate bar!! I too have very fond memories of my childhood eating the Alpine White!! My father lived them so much too and we would freeze them before we ate them and they were like heaven!! I'm glad I'm not the only one that would be delighted for Nestles to bring this candy bar back! I can still remember the taste and I remember the song on the commercial! Funny how memories work!!
