That's not a cookie! Newton's are fruit and cake!

Weren't there Apple Newtons at one time? I miss those and I've never had the blueberry ones. And, it seems like there was a grape flavor at one time. I recall seeing a commercial for Grape Newtons. Never had them either.

Check out the 80's commercial for Grape Newtons on youtube. There are blueberry, apple, strawberry, and grape. But no banana. Definitely no banana!

I guess at one point there were cherry newtons too. I wonder if they were replaced by strawberry or vice-versa

I really miss the apple Newtons. They were the best! If you heated them in the microwave for a few seconds, they were like little mini-apple pies. Really good with a little bit of vanilla ice cream!

These were great...I remember eating about six of them with a glass of milk after eating some bar-b-que. Needless to say there was no bathroom around and it was one big mess.

Nabisco Fig Newtons go back to 1892, when Nabisco was founded, off a merger between two little-known bakeries. Product supposedly was named to honor the city of Newton (Mass.). Many likely remember the 1972 TV commercials with Big Fig, a guy wearing a fig-plant outfit, who danced and sang, "Do the Fig" or "Do the Newton." This ad concept was copied by Post Raisin Bran in 1973, with a chorus of raisin draped men rising from a gigantic cereal bowl and sang.
