I used to buy a blueberry puff-o-fruit every day for 5 years of high school. I hated high school, but I always looked forward to my puff-o-fruit! I actually found this website wondering 'what ever happened to puff-o-fruit?' A shame it's gone...

mmmmmm i loved puff o fruit too!!! lemon was the best....used to seperate it and lick the fillings...haha wish they still made them. found a lemon mousse passion flakie at the grocery store today....not bad at all but not quite the same!! c'mon Vachon make them again!!!

I used to eat 1-2 a day when I was a kid :) They sold them at the cafeteria at my elementary school :) Blueberry was the best. Flakies are ok, but I dont like the sugary stuff sprinkled on the pastry. Like sandpaper. And the Puff o Fruit were more filling, less pastry :)

I LOVED Puff-o-Fruit tooo they were awesome. I would get one everyday when I was a kid. I came across this site when I was Pregnant because that was the only thing I can say I actually craved and never got. I wish they would start making them again. OHHHH THE FILLING

Crap! I have been living in BC for the last 12 years and am now moving back to the east coast and thought I would get to eat them again and that they just didn't have them out here. No Puff O' Fruit anywhere on earth??!! What a crime! Why on earth did they stop making these things when evryone loved them so much???? Maybe if we start a petition and get tons of signatures they would bring it back? It has to be the exact recipe though! I too eat the flakies now but they are not even close to as good as puff o' friutes were. Crap that sux. I'm going to email Vachon, pls everyone who loved these things email them too!

I have to admit the stories are the same and I'm no different... I used to look forward to eating one each day at school too. I was soo pissed then when they stopped making them and I'm still pissed now... I loved blueberry...wow what a combination...the fruit filling the cream...oh man...those things were good. Just like everyone else here I found this site looking to see whatever happened to puff a fruit. They (not sure what company it was that made them) should really bring them back, they were without a doubt the best of all the snack/cake thingys

Life in the mid 80's was all about me eating them puff-o-fruits, it was an addiction, i devoured an entire box once to myself. Vachon, please, just bring them back. nothing could compare to that feeling of biting into a puff-o-fruit and experiencing that cream and fruit filling rupturing our taste buds and sending shockwaves of pure enjoyment throughout our mouths. i loved the cherry ones! man were they good! Vachon stopped making them because of a copyright issue with an american company if I remember right... weird the internet has no info on this!?!

This is what I just sent them: I dearly miss your Puff-O-Fruit pastries. There was nothing remotely close to them on the market. I have attempted in vain to find a suitable replacement since you discontinued them. I like Flakies but they just don't come close to the wonderful velvety texture and the exquisite taste of your many delicious flavours. There are countless consumers who feel the same way I do. Bringing it back would be a wise business decision. It seems that nearly everything retro that is re-introduced into the market steals the lion's share of the sales. Let's bring them back, please the masses and make some money.

I loved the blueberry and cherry puff-a-fruit. I remember 2 days a week after high school, stopping into beckers and buying them sooooo yummy!! I totally miss them nothing else at Vachon comes close!!!

The Puff-O-Fruit was hands-down THE most addictive store-bought sweet treat of my childhood! They were so popular that the corner store could barely keep them in stock — they always seemed to be running out. I remember when they mentioned that they were being fazed-out, I got so depressed; the cashiers never explained why it was happening, either, just said they didn't know... So I blew my paper-route money buying and gorging on as many as I could get until they stopped coming in altogether. Blueberry was UNBELIEVABLE, but strawberry was a close second. (Actually, I heard more than once in more recent years that the Puff-O-Fruit product was done away with because it contained a lot of the food additive propelyne glycol, which is toxic in high amounts. Considering how dangerously delicious these things were, I can see why there would be concerns! Maybe some people got really sick or even died and it was all hu$hed-up, who knows..?)
