This stuff was so nasty that I couldn't even drink it when I was stoned with the worst case of cotton mouth the world has ever known. What were they thinking? Cherry 7-UP was (is) a much better member of the family.

I worked for a Seven-Up bottler in the late 1980s. Seven-Up Gold was a big loser for us. One retailer ordered it OUT of the store because it sat around so long that the cans were exploding on the shelves. The remaining cases were unloaded to a liquidator for 10 cents a case. I thought it had a horrible taste.

I remember it as being more of a cinnamon flavored soda. I thought it was quite good. However I was only 8 or 9, so probably every non-diet soda was good to me back then.

You heathen, seven up gold tasted exactly like Captain Morgan spiced rum. Mix that stuff 50/50 and you were wallowing in your own vomit in no time
