These were the BIGGEST treat when my sisters and I were growing up. Usually reserved for "special" occasions, such as long car trips and Christmas (as stocking stuffers). The trick was to ration the chocolate frosting long enough to outlast the cookie sticks. Then you could swoop your little finger through the remaining frosting and eat it straight for the ultimate sugar rush. It was fun in the way that Handi Snacks were fun ... had that whole "do it yourself" thing going for it.

I loved these and the only thing even CLOSE now are these snacks made in China or Japan and found only in the Ethnic foods area of your market that are cracker sticks with either vanilla chocolate or strawberry frosting to dip into. Some also have Hazlenut chocolate which resembles Nutella.

The snack you are referring to is called Yan Yan. They are just like Skinny Dippers.

Yes Yan Yan thank you Matt! I found them again at CUB foods last week, and they are yan yan, youre right. they are similar to Skinny Dippers. People get Skinny Dippers mixed up with Dunkaroos, a lot. Dunkaroos were grahm cracker Kangaroo cookies you dipped into frosting. Skinny Dippers were cracker sticks with a side of dip, but the dip was sweet.
