The BEST of the cookie crisp cereals by far. I never understood why they took it off the market. YUMMY, I wish I had some right now!

Vanilla was the absolute best flavored Cookie Crisp. They should bring them back. I can taste them right now. Remind me again why they discontinued making them.Let's start a campaign to bring them back.AAAHH the good ole days.

I agree, it was mine and my brother's favorite. After a while of going to the grocery store with our Mother and realizing we could no longer find it, she actually called the maker for us to inquire about it and then it was confirmed. She actually tried to get them to sell to us directly but they wouldn't do it. We have been waiting for it to come back since. Although, we have found that "French Toast Crunch" actually tastes quite like the Vanilla Cookie Crisp did. Try it and see what you think.

It boggles my mind as to why they took those cereal off as well. I would hope that the nasty chocolate chip version was not the better seller. That would be the only reason for discontinuing the flavor. I would love to see them bring them back. The cereal game is totally LACKING these days. It would be nice if they consider it for a limited edition supply. Just test market it, people geez!!!

I loved this cereal!! Thank you Nicci for exposing how nasty that chocolate chip version is. I have friends that never knew the vanilla existed and swear by the chocolate chip. They don't know what they missed. I wish they would bring the vanilla back. I would eat it everyday.

Speaking of French Toast Crunch, where did that go?? I loved that stuff and all I can find anymore is the cinnamon toast crunch (not as good). I remember the awesome smell when u first opened the box-it was just like pancake syrup!

I can't believe a site like this exist. I was just trying to convince a friend that the best cereal in this universe was Vanilla cookie crisp. She is older than me and never heard of it. I contacted General Mills and they said due to low sales they discontinued the product(duh!). They also said that they have no plans on bringing the product back. So I guess all we have is our memories. NEVER SAY NEVER, KEEP HOPE ALIVE !

I'm glad to see people remember it. I bring it up all the time that Cookie Crisp started out as Vanilla flavored. I have to disagree with General Mills saying lack of sales made them discontinue it. How many cereals really sell a huge amount? Most brands probably have moderate sales....so why not have diversity for those that want it? So don't mass produce it...at least produce it!!!!

Everytime I go grocery shopping I still look for the Vanilla cookie crips in hopes of that one odd grocery store having it. But it never happens:-( its just a dream. i agree with all of you, one day i rolled out of bed, went to eat breakfast, i had a taste for some cereal, only to realize i don't eat cereal anymore because they stopped making my favorit cereal so many years ago. the VANILLA COOK CRISP WAS GONE with no warning, i can not remember when it was made, all i do know is that i woke up every morning eating it, and then it was gone and i didn't eat cereal anymore. I woke up that morning and with a taste of cereal (vanilla cookie crisp) only to realize they stopped making it, only to realize i am not a little girl anymore. so i settled for a cup of coffee and depression, I still don't eat cereal. don't get me wrong i've tried but nothing compares to the great taste of VANILLA COOKIE CRISP, so today i wrote a letter to General Mills, actually I left a comment on the customer service section of their website.

Vanilla Cookie Crisp should come back to stores.

Vanilla Cookie Crisp the best of the best nothimg compares I have small children now and I tell them about the great taste of VCC and how they missed out I've tried to contact General Mills but their a bunch of idiots working over there, I dont know if anyone remembers the banana sara lee cake it was sold in the frozen section of the supermarket I still cant figure that one out either but we can all dream so I will keep up the good fight and never let the VCC dream die....

Companies have been making limited supply of the old time cereals, we just got Quisp which seemed so good 20 years ago so maybe someday we will have the Vanilla Cookie Crisp again.

I found the new Sprinkles Cookie Crisp in NC at LOWE'S Foods...I picked up 2 boxes...will pick up more to hoard! : ) My first bite was a trip down memory lane..back to when I was 4 - 6 yrs old in the late 70's early 80's.

I recently bought two boxes of Sprinkles Cookie Crisp at Stop & Shop in CT. It's like I'm a kid again! Let it soak in the milk for a few extra minutes ... awesome!

I loved the original Vanilla Crisp and was SUPER happy to see Sprinkles in the store however, sniff sniff, it didn't impress me. Quite disappointed

Just found the sprinkles Cookie Crisp. The sprinkles change the taste slightly but it's the same recipe I remember. I wouldn't mind if General Mills took the sprinkles off, but I'm pretty happy with what I have now.

Just found Cookie Crisp Vanilla sprinkles on Amazon.com. GOing to give them a try. I hope they are close to Vanilla Cookie Crips. That is my all time favorite cereal. People did not believe me that there was a vanilla flavored Cookie Crips, glad I found this site :)
