Description
You added it to sour cream to make dip. The dip itself turned like an orange color. It came in a blue kool aid type package and had Zippity Dip written in orange across it.

Bring it back! Zippity Dip was the bomb and I miss it. I remember the blue package with orange writing fondly. The best chip dip ever made, and sadly taken away.

It was one of the best dips around. Does any one know who the manufacture was, or why they took it off the market? It makes me wonder if they found some unhealthy side effects.

I believe it was from a company in Calif. and I too miss it. Everyone I served it to loved it. Can we find someone to make it again!

I loved Zippity Dip too! I used to purchase it in the produce department at the HyVee grocery store in Owatonna, Minnesota, and used it as a vegetable dip. It was such a tasty alternative to ranch dip and everybody loved it. I have been looking for this dip for years and have never found it anywhere.

Ingredients: Bell Peppers, Salt, Cornstarch, Monosodium Glutamate, Sugar, Onion, Yeast, Garlic and Red Pepper. I saved an empty package because I check every now and then to see if I can buy it someplace. I loved it so much.

I created a knockoff of the Zippity Dip, and it’s pretty close, I think. These are as close as I can get to my measurements cause I fiddled with it some to get the taste right. I used a pkg of Knorr Vegetable Recipe Mix, 16 oz. Sour Cream, 2 tsp. Of paprika, 1/2 tsp turmeric, 2 Tb. dehydrated red peppers. I added a little salt, too. I let it sit for an hour. Try it and let me know what you think.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! I have been searching the web off and on for twenty years for access to this delicious dip mix or a way to make my own. You have done a marvelous job of duplicating the taste! Do you have any other copycat recipes that you can share?
