I'm told this doll was named after me. My Grandfather was an executive at reliable toys in Toronto during the 60's and 70's. I was born in 64 and when the company was looking for a name for a new doll they were making my Grandfather submitted my name and it was accepted. I had a few of them throughout my childhood, but they were passed down when I outgrew them. I really wish I could find one for sentimental reasons.

I too had a few Baby Brendadolls through out my childhood, and I still have one and my 3 year old daughter loves her, but she is starting to dall apart. I am desperatly seeking another on efor her. If anyone knows where to get one... please let me know.

I just found my eldest daughters Baby Brenda doll tonight. I'm so glad that I'm a packrat! My husband had bought her for Emma's 1st birthday which would have been April 1984. And yes he probably bought her at the local Sears store. Now our daughter is about to have her 1st baby -so I went on a hunt tonight and found Brenda tucked away. We always thought the best thing about her were those eyes that close when you lay her down. I'm taking her off to a local doll hospital and will have her cleaned and restored and then dress her up and hide her inside one of my baby shower gifts - perhaps a snugli or a carseat....

It looks alot like my Baby Lorrie Doll. I got it for Christmas when I was about 2. I called her Baby. Then I found the pictures from that Christmas.

I have a Baby Brenda Doll......my sister gave her to me for a Christmas gift when I was about 5. I am now 35 years old. My daughter is 5 now and LOVES playing with her......I DO have a picture of me holding her Christmas morning when I got her but it's at my Mom's. I'll get my hands on it next Spring and will post it here. She was wearing a white soft material suit, trimmed in blue ribbon. Cheers...

I still have my Baby Brenda doll. She was a gift from my parents for having surgery to have my tonsils out. She was not exclusive to Sears because we bought her at Consumers Distributing. Mine had a pink and white two piece outfit, which my mother gave away along with a suitcase of doll clothes, but I still have the doll and my daughter plays with her. She was my absolute favourite doll.

Well, I received my Baby Brenda as my last doll After I was finished with my Barbies. I was 12 or 13 at the time. That was 48 years ago as I'm now 60! she's a little worse for wear as my two daughters now 37 and 39 loved her also! The oldest daughter also has a Baby Brenda, that keeps my old one company in my closet. My Grandaughter always begs me to play with these fragile Brenda's. I guess she's still popular, even after all these years!!!

your baby brenda doll is sweet. looks like the same face mold originated by vogue doll company circa 1964 as the redesigned baby dear doll. super popular in varying sizes. i believe tiara playmates used same face mold in early 80's too. probably the same dolls as dept stores etc. would sometimes have their own exclusives of already existing dolls. a pic of brenda nib would be super awesome for those of you looking for a piece of childhood. i love dolls

I had a Brenda doll and I accidentally bit her finger off and swallowed it. Then she got left at a playground in Rabbit Lake, Saskatchewan. I got a baby Brenda for my 5th birthday in 1979...she is now my almost 10 yr old favourite doll, so, sorry, but I will not be parting with her. She is very loved. I no longer have her original clothes...she came in a yellow bunting bag with pink and I think white braid on it.

Hi, my name is Shane and I left a touching story about how me and my daughter like to play with our baby Brenda. I have changed his name to Baby Barry and hes not very nice. I don't know why you would remove my post because this doll just brings me and my daughter closer together. Its ridiculous to think that someone was offended because I changed the babys gender.Get over it. Not everyone has to follow the same rules of playing. Its called imagination......Baby Barry is not pleased.

OMG I found my baby Brenda. She is in pretty good condition. She still is wearing her her full outfit. :) I remember it was just before Christmas. My mom had brought home the Sears Catalogue. Baby Brenda was on the front cover like a movie star. It seemed she was the most important item on the cover. She was beside a little girl in front of a Christmas Tree. I remember when I saw her I filled up with such love. I really wanted her. My mom would have us make a Christmas List for Santa Clause. She was on the very top. We had to list what was more important starting with 1 and then working down to 10 which was the least. You could also find her in the catalogue where she is sitting on a different girls lap this time her eyes are open. I had such wonderful memories.
