Hi there, These dolls were actually called Blinkins :)

are these the ones that were fairies whose butts lit up when you squeeze them?? if so, i had one that came with a caterpillar that had wheels that it could ride on...

I agree... they were Blinkins!!! I have a set of them, maybe 8 plus a tree house, the bug they ride on, and more! I LOVED them when I was little.

I was born in 1983, and when I was about two my mum traded me "blinka" for my dummy. It was kinda like a purple bumble bee type of toy, mostly soft I think but with a great big plastic butt, which lit up when you pressed a little butterfly on the doll. Sounds like she was actually one of these "Blinkins" dolls. I dont remember what happened to her in the end, I wish I still had her though.

Yup, I had one of these too! Mine was a purple caterpillar typed thing.

OH SWEET RELIEF! I have been banging my head against numerous walls trying to remember the name of these gooorgeous little dolls. I still have my pink one in her swing. Bum still lights up with the same battery she came with. That was 1986. She now sits on my baby girl's dressing table. Thankyou so much for this index, trying to remember what they were called was driving me crazy!

I remember these...I still have a comic with an advertisement for them on the back page. I'll try to take a pic and submit it. Oh, also there was a figure of an owl...I think his name was Hoots.

Hi, I bought my daughter a set of Blinkins fairies many years ago; she still has them, I hope!! I have advised her to take great care of them as they are now so hard to find! They are beautiful! I am now trying to get hold of some for my own doll collection, if I can afford them!!
