Description
This was the predecessor to the Big Trak had many of the same programmable features, except it was shaped like a futuristic "Mad Max" style dune buggy. The headlights and horn were also able to be added to the programed course.

I've now been searching Ebay for about a month trying to find one of these. My brother owned on as a kid and he'll turn 30 soon. One of the only toys he took really good care of, I'd love to find one....

I still have one of these in the loft. I'll have to dig it out & see if it still works. I didn't realise you could program the lights & horn though. Cool toy that I think cost £10 when I got it in the 80's. Alan.XPL

I own one of these; just got it back from my parent's house while cleaning it out after my parents died. I don't know whether it still works or not (given its age), but it should. I was a very spoiled kid; that was a Christmas to remember - I got both the Brain Buggy and my Big Trak & Transport (which I also found) - all were still in-box, looking just like I left them many years ago. Still hoping to find my Tomy Armatron...

I have one in the box and am wondering how much it would be worth to sell and where would be the best place to do this.

I just acquired the Japanese version of the Brain Buggy. Originally, the car was made by Bandai of Japan. Thus, Bandai licensed the Brain Buggy to Playart. This version looks like the Silver Fire Fox by Shinsei. The difference between the Bandai and the Playart version are the decals. The Bandai edition has "Cheetah" on the car while the Playart version does not. This car will make a nice addition to my collection.

eBay has a Brain Buggy for sale from England ($41 American), and one of the images shows part of the instructions. Specify Brain Buggy Instructions when you google. Couldn't find loose instructions. eBay has several other boxed ones for auction, one of those has set price of $65, complete with barricade decals and instructions.
