These were too expensive, I only knew a rich cousin who had them.

Anybody remember the TV cartoon?? Didn't he have a horse, except the horse stood on two legs and they flew around in a spaceship?
Kyle - December 21, 2007 - Report this comment
Yeah, I think his horse was named 40/40. He would ride his horse too and then he would like... transform into the standing talking one with a big gun.
Mike D - January 19, 2008 - Report this comment
The horse's name was 30/30 and that was a great cartoon

I had him and handlebar, the bar tender goodguy who threw steel plates as weapons. They were good toys, really big and articulated for the time, good 'wrestling partners' for my robotech bioroid if I remember correctly.

Yea he had a horse that did both (walk on all four or two) Tex Hex had a two legged cow head walker thing. I had Brave starr, tex, the horse, tex's ride, the stagecoach, and the town (fort something). As for otherthings I had the blue and black backpacks that shot IR beams that didn't hit crap, plus they also made a full size brave starr/ tex hex guns one blue and one black. They were cool and all. The cartoon can be found on video cites (yes I put a c but should be an s) which it was pretty good for the time. These figures were too big to make it in the 6" gi joe world with all their bases, boats, and planes. This had a 12" gi joe feel, and was pushed aside do to low fan base. Or as David said, the cost could have had something to do with it.

Yeah this was a cool line. If i'm not mistaken I think the life size guns were replicas of the aliens guns from the t.v. show "V".

i have the whole line, including all the vehicals. I played with them all the time when i was a kid. They are very well made, they all still work perfectly. They were definatly worth the price

I wonder if Stephen King got his idea of the futuristic western and Ladies of Oriza throwing sharpened plates from this toy line?(Dark Tower series, the Ladys of Oriza are in Wolves Of The Calla)

I still have my 30-30 up on the bookshelf, with a metal bolt in his leg where my father replaced the plastic one- I played with it so much, that the plastic fastener broke and I was inconsolable until my father rigged up a replacement (that still allowed his leg to move! Go Dad!)

They were quite popular here in Australia too! They were expensive though... at around the $15-$20 mark for the figures, my stratocoach box still has the MYER price tag of $49!! Excellent quality figures mind you.

Yea bravestarr rocked . I still have all my toys they're all little beat up. My dad got me pretty much everything available when this toy store (kiddie city) was going out of business so everythin was dirt CHEAP I loved fort kerium the vehicles :stagecoach, scuzzs ride, dept fuzz's car, tex hexs longhorn steer (that was bad ass!) I have a question though does anyone know if they ever made a shaman (the old native american guy bravestarrs father figure from the cartoon) action figure ? If so does ne1 know where to get it or still have theirs? His spear was awesome he was the futuristic spirit guide so cool
