The reason these are going for almost $100 on Ebay is because these eggs with the pegs and holes to match can be used as a teaching toy for children with autism. They are hard to find so when someone one lists one on Ebay they become an item that is very much in demand.

This toy was without a DOUBT one of my absolute favorites. I distinctly remember the detail! I was so careful not to lose any of the halves because I knew I wouldn't be able to get another one (it was the only one left on the clearance rack at some cheapy discount store)...yet I still ended up losing the whole damn thing! I have a feeling my mom gave it away :(

My mother has a tape of me circa 1991 or so with me getting these for x-mas. It blows my mind that they are now going for $100. My mother said the reason she got them for me was because i had a fascination with breaking the real eggs .. so she gave me toy ones :)

I loved playing with these eggs when I was a toddler, I currently have both the original Child Guidance ones from when I was a child and the Playskool set.

Just found this today at a thrift store. They cost next to nothing, as I paid by the pound (.59 a pound). I can't believe people would charge $100 for them. Mine are the ones made by Child Guidance. I'm surprised I found a complete set.

I have a set that my kids are just going to destroy. We are missing the peg #3 and both parts of 4 & 10. I just wanted to know what people think is a fair price to ask for them. Each or as a set.

Just came across a complete set in great shape. My daughter loves them! Haven't decided if I should sell them yet. I'd be surprised if I could get $100 for this toy. Crazy! Great toy though!

I'm looking everywhere for these eggs too, I had a yellow carton set as a little girl (no Idea where I got them) and loved playing kitchen with them. I lost alot of halves though as I was naughty and threw some down the furnace vents and flushed others down the toilet lol. I want to find a set of these for my new son, but no way will I pay $100 and I also would never charge that either.

I had these as a child and would love them for my children. Everyone, please go to the Hasbro website and submit a customer comment that we would like to see these brought back http://www.hasbro.com/customer-service/contacts/. It's worked before with companies such as Little Tykes, Step 2, etc. Let's get these made again for our kids!

I just discovered this thread & wow! I picked up a set in a yellow carton & they are in near mint condition. I found them at a thrift store for $1 and just thought they were so cool. My 4yr old niece loves playing with them and to be honest, I do too. I'm going to take good care of this little treasure now that I know how rare they are!

My dad just dug these out a few weeks ago for my niece. I remembered them as Memory Eggs and I really don't know why. I think it was because I used to mix up the tops and bottoms for my little sister and she would put them back together because they were all mixed up.

I had this set of eggs for my kids. Have been looking for a set now for my grandson. I found on ebay, like new. I paid 39.00 and I think well worth the money. Still can't believe these are off the market. If looking for a set try garage sales or Good Will. I think a must have, for all children.

Our grand daughter loves these eggs, as did her father. Unfortunately some were used as cricket balls when our sons were teenagers, and we are missing 11, 4, and the non peg half of 9. If any one has a part set which could make our set complete,we would be happy to negotiate a price.
