these things never worked very well.
These things worked great! Ya just had to slow down on the turns!
This set rocked. I still have mine with most of the pieces more or less intact. Poor cars got a lot of abuse flying off the tracks. If I recall, this set had several versions, one included a loop-de-loop.
Wow! Talk about a blast from the past, i had the track with the loop-de-loop, cross over section and a small jump. Wish I held onto that set, I only needed to replace the cars.
As someone who logged in thousands of laps on a cliff hanger set, this is one of the greatest toys ever! The race cars would heat up a bit after about 40 straight laps.... Great memories.
Used to 'challenge' my cousin to race on this, and he ALWAYS shot his car off of the wall, because he had a heavy trigger finger. He turned out to be a Marine when he grew up. Go figure.
