And it had the best games! We were cool enough to have an uncle into computers and technology when we were growing up, and we ended up with a Colecovision instead of an Atari. It was so much fun to play. My favorite game was Montezuma's Revenge, which I believe was about escaping an Aztec Temple.

mine was a slightly different color. My dad got it for us girls one Christmas but had the fun of playing burgertime by himself until the late 90s when we finally showed an interest...lol. We just liked playing "telephone" with the controllers..should be in the garage somewhere...

Jess, dig that thing out of the garage and send it to me. We BEGGED my father to find us one the year they came out. They were on backorder and every last store was out. I think my uncle in Houston found one and sent it over. We went APE S)(*& when we opened that box. Luckily for us the "OLD" TV was put out in the rec room so we could play and not bug the parents. I had a favorite game that was a driving game, but don't remember the name now and I think we had Zaxxon too, or we borrowed it from a friend. Wow, brings back a bunch of memories.

I work at a pawn shop.. just recently got one of these in with a ton of games!!! I was born in '86 and remember a lot of the toys listed on here, however I don't remember this one. Now I know what it is! Pretty cool!! :)

Cabbage Patch Kids was my favorite game. Donkey Kong was cool also, and a few of the others were awesome also. My brother and I would play with it a lot. So would my parents. Smurfs was another one of my favorites too. My mom played Carnival too.

I miss the Coleco. We had to eventually discard it because it broke down. Even thoug hthe system is so old, the games were fun.

YEEEEAAAAHHHH!!!!!! Dude it's all about space panic. Burgertime too!! They also came out with that funky controller that fit in one hand with a joystick on top. I wanna say it came with this really cool baseball game...

Bump n' Jump had to be the greatest game ever for that system!

This was a huge step up from Atari 2600 (not that there was anything wrong with Atari) and the games resembled the arcades much more faithfully and the others were just as fun! Donkey Kong was good for its time, Donkey Kong Jr. was even better. Other good arcade to home games were Burgertime (even though you need a magnifying glass to play it), Frogger, Zaxxon, Q*Bert, Popeye, Venture and Defender among others. Other good games were Miner 2049er (where you had an 11th screen where you can capture the gold), River Raid (much better than Atari), Cabbage Patch Kids and of course Smurf Rescue In Gargamel's Castle.

I got this game after my ATARI became obsolete. I LOVED my Colecovision and my cousins were jealous that I had one and they didn't. I only had two games: Donkey Kong and Looping (which was where you had to fly a lil airplane through a type of obstacle course).

My parents got this instead of Atari! I felt ripped off when I would go to my friends houses and play thier Atari. But when they came to my house they loved playing the Colecovision. Wierd how that works. My favorite game was Mousetrap! It had a plastic thingy that slid under the conroller top that covered the #s and you could change from a mouse into a dog so you could eat the cats that were chasing you. Kinda like a knock off of PACMAN! I also loved Zaxxon, but it sucked if you forgot down was up and was down!! Ran into alot of walls!!! My dad hated that game he could not remember down is up and up is down. I remember alot of cursing!!!

LOVE our Coleco! Does anyone remember Ladybug??? Like Pacman but way cooler. My mom's favorite! And 'Venture so dark and creep for my little 4 year old self but the only video game my dad ever played! Still have ours and all the games. Last I checked, it still worked but that was a loooong time ago!

Oh my gosh, I think this was the first toy for which I saw a commercial and really wanted for Christmas! I was about 4 when it came out in 82 and I thought it was so cool even back then, I wanted it for Christmas but my parents wouldn't get it (we had Atari back then anyway). I just remember my 4-year-old self thinking it was the coolest thing I'd ever seen, LOL
