Playmates could remake Corky and his big sister Cricket, but insted of making them into tape players they could make them into cd players.

I have two corky's and two crickets and adore them all. I've used them to call attention to a fundraiser at school because you can tape record anything on a blank tape and it will play. I know from the advertisement flyer with the 2 I got in their boxes that there were other friends but I've never seen them.

I bought a Corky doll for my daughter 21 years ago. As she was an only lonely child she got great value out of it for years. She still loves it but keeps it hidden in the wardrobe in case her friends see it. I still have the tapes but I cannot find the original clothes since we moved house. I knit him a lovely Aran sweater and bought him jeans and a yellow plaid shirt. He looks great and is in good condition. I think my daughter will keep him forever.

I remember Cricket, but I don't remember Corky. Was Corky from Europe or somewhere other than the U.S.A.? He doesn't really look like anything a child in this country (U.S.A.) would have played with in the 80's.

My brother got a Corky doll for a birthday or xmas right after they came out. I would snag it and put my guns -n- roses tapes in it and Corky would rock out.

I contacted Playmates via email and suggested that they bring back Cricket, Corky, and Jill so kids today can enjoy them. Unfortunately they rejected my suggestion :( Today's generation of kids will never know how good toys used to be. They really should bring back the three playmates dolls and make them more sophisticated and up to date.

I have a cute little boy doll named Corkey, he has his own chair, his denims, striped shirt, red shoes and his cute little hat. In addition, he has his space flight silver suit and hat along with books and tapes. Kept for grand kids, they aren't interested.

I have the original Corky doll and his chair. Unfortunately, it scared the heck out of my daughter so he has been in storage since i bought him when he was first sold. she threw away the tape that came with him because it scared her. I would love to buy some tapes at a reasonable price if anyone has any now that i have a granddaughter that loves Corky! contact me dkasper2@comcast.net
