Had one of these at one point and still look for them whenever I go to thrift stores. I do have the movie, though.

I found a reproduction of the original green Glow Work at either Wal Mart or Target a few years back. Exactly like the one I had.

i have one of those still, but the plastic light is broken.

I have the little vinyl glow in the dark figures. Nearly all of them. They would really glow hard all night long.

I still have the original glow warm (the light is missing now)and I just bought my daughter the new glow worm!!

Aw man! I had a gloworm when I was little. It had a night hat on that you could flip from front to back and make the gloworm either awake or asleep. I used to take it to bed with me to light up under my covers when I was scared :)

During my first very bad virus, I was a very sick kid in bed. My grandmother, who lived out of state, sent me the original green GloWorm to cheer me. One day, my mother (who was a homemaker) went out to the mail box to see a large, long box stuffed into it. She brought it inside, I opened the package, and there was this cute little GloWorm smiling back at me. That really stuck with me.

Melanie, I had the one you could flip to be awake or asleep too! There were bibs on both sides. On the sleepy-face side, the bib was blue with a moon; if you flipped the night cap over to the other side, the face was awake & smiling & it had a pink bib with a sun. I still have it & I LOVE it to death...it saved me from many scary nights when I woke up from a nightmare in the dark :)

I loved my Glo Worm. He was the original one with the green, fleece, body and the little hat with the tassel. The only thing that sucked was when you were falling asleep with it, and you rolled over onto the hard head! When I was really little, I wasn't able to squeeze him hard enough to light him up so my dad always had to do it.

I had a glow worm when I was a baby, and I remember carrying it to bed with me when I was a toddler. I was afraid of the dark at the time and so my worm.("Wormy" as I called it) Helped me fall asleep at bedtime.

i still have mine and he stills works =D hes the 84 Globug version (the 2nd pic) and i love him! Gosh this takes me back T_T all these toys, this was my fave tho, i hated the dark and i used to hide under the covers and squeeze him :p

I bought a gloworm for my neice way back in '95 when she was a baby for christmas. And now she's 13 going on 14 in March. So they still make those things even today!!!

Yep, I have the green one and the white girl one, and I also have three or four of the plastic glow in the dark babies. Can't bring myself to get rid of these things. They are so cute, and even though I was too young to remember playing with them, my heart seems to remember, and I still feel attached to them.

I loved my girly Glo Butterfly! She made the monsters under the bed and in the closet disappear with her magical star wand. I currently have her packed away, but I plan on keeping her for many years to come. She still works!

I bought a Glo-Worm for a friend's baby. She still has it, and is 22 years old now with a baby of her own, who inherited that Glo-Worm.

i had an original green glow worm when i was growing up but my brothers destroyed it. i wanna find another one. between me and my sister my daughter now has 4 or 5 of them now she loves them.

I have an original glo worm's musical dream world 1985. Has anyone seen one or know what it is worth?

Is it in good working order? I've seen them on eBay, usually for between $10 - $20, depending on condition - i.e. fading, scuffs, etc. To be honest, I've yet to see one that didn't look color-faded so I don't think this particular toy ages too well. If yours is in mint condition with smooth, bright colors and sticker detailing you could probably go ad high as $25. (See photo on this website under BUSY BOX.)

PS - Crystal, I'm dying to know about the activity feature in the lower left hand corner of the M.D.W. toy. The one that looks like an octopus or a flower? What does it DO?

it has the green hasbro glow worm in the middle. you pull a cord and its twikle little star with glow worms in the stars that goes around with the song. it has a yellow flower that goes out when you push it and it squiks. it also has other things on it. the stickers are not faded or the other parts and the buckles that you attach it with are perfect. it is a great pieace that i have never scene.

Well, Crystal, I can't make any promises but if you do put it up on eBay (with photos) there's a good chance I just might place a bid (and an even better chance I would "buy it now"!). There are photos of my husband with the exact same toy as a baby in 1985, and I would love to make it "reappear" for when we have kids of our own someday. :)

i still have my orig glowworm from when i was little. It was the green one. my parents TRIED to replace it with the one that's hat switches so it's sleeping or awake. I just didn't like it as much. I'm not sure why my rents wanted to replace him, he's still in good condition. Somehow I ended up with my lil bro's ex-girlfriends too!
