Description
They were tiny little dolls about the size of your index finger, made entirely of plastic except for their long hair that was usually brightly coloured--blue or red or pink. They were vibrant dolls, colourful and wearing clothes as funky as the era they were designed in.

I had a ton of these as a kid and no one ever remembers them. My mom used to hide them in the easter egg hunt and my sister and I would fight over who found it first. I had the limo too!!

I bought my daughter several sets of Wee Wilds over 20 years ago and thankfully when she tired of them I boxed them up and put them in the shed. Her son enjoys playing with them now. Seeing him set everything up brings make many happy memories. We have the Rock N Roll limo, the swimming pool/bathtub, the birthday cake and the hair salon. My daughter is so glad I'm a pack rat!!!!

My sister, my friend, and I had these but I had the most. One came with a horse, one came with a boat, one had a vanity. I also had the slice of cake!

I have the purple haired one, and I remember she came with a jeep. The doll is still packed away somewhere at my parents' house, but I have no idea what happened to the jeep. I remember using her little hair doodad as a Barbie watch. I really liked that doll :)

OMG! I was the designer in charge of the line at Mattel. The basic concept was from an outside inventor but I designed the line. The Limo was just a model of a limo cut in two. I had so much fun designing the limo! I can't believe that kids actually played with the dolls and accessories! They didn't sell well... up to Mattel standards. You guys have made my day!

Omg, it's so nice to know that there are other people that know what these toys are! My friends look at me like I'm crazy whenever we bring up the subject of 80s toys and I mention these guys! I had a bunch of 'em and I had the little party car that opened up! Those were the days, man. Toys these days SUCK!

It was so much fun to read about Wee Wild Things. I was the inventor that came up with the original concept for Wee Wild Things while I worked at Marvin Glass in Chicago. It was the first toy that I had invented that sold to a manufacturer. I loved that line- I was so glad to read that it had meaning for others.

oh my god, these dolls actually exist! I remember I had the shoe playset and the one with the red hair, and I could not remember the name of these dolls... no one could remember them at all.

My friend and I used to LOVE these things. The only one I can remember having was the shoe. But we used to ask our Moms if they would take us to the store to get new ones. I can't believe they weren't popular enough for Mattel to keep selling them. They were very inexpensive, if I remember correctly. So cool to see these again. :)
