I had lots of these dolls, my favorite had bright pink clothes and shes with a rose on each one. She also had a piece of hair that you could pull out of her head to make longer and a plastic screw in her back to screw it back in her head.

My sister and I had these...we played with her in Barbie plays.

I got Maxi furniture for my Barbie dolls once. A part of me disliked it, like it wasn't classy enough for Barbie.

For some reason I thought Maxi dolls were better and prettier than Barbie!! I don't know why! I had Maxi, her boyfriend Rob (who actually had hair unlike Ken - which I ended up totally giving him a buzz haircut), and friends Ashley and Simone. They also had flat feet, unlike Barbie's high heel feet.

I liked Maxie. I had the prom one, as pictured on this page. I also had a few others, and Maxie's friend Carly.

I loved Maxi! I still have my maxi dolls and both styles of her boyfriend. I really liked them when I was a kid.

I loved them so much, sometimes even more than my barbies!! I had several of them and loved to pretend they were all sisters. Rob was the best! I still have some of them today in a clear plastic box. I used to obsessively brush one of my favorite's hair for such a long time :D.

Maxi seemed "cooler" than Barbie at times. I had two of them. One of them came wearing a jean jacket and a dress with a white top and pink bottom with a ruffle underneath and white, lace, tights. I loved that dress...I would put all my dolls in it. I had one that was in a swimsuit, I believe.

I never had a Maxi doll, but my neighbor had tons of them. I do remember the commercials because it had a real woman as the Maxi doll, then they would switch the camera back to the doll. The commercials always had a nice little ring to it.

I had these dolls too. I've been looking on youtube cause i swear there was a cartoon of Maxi. Maybe only a couple But I really remember that. Please tell me if I'm mistaken but for some rason I've been looking for it. Def short lived if there was. I believe it was a Saturday morning one.

Victoria, I don't think it was Maxie that had the cartoon show, I think you're remembering Gem, another great doll from the 80's. She used to sing and she was the front woman of the fictional band, Gem and the Holograms, they used to battle the Misfits.

I had Maxi and Rob I loved them. I also had (i think it was hers) her day bed and the locker that opened up and had a shower and stuff in it, she was awesome!!

I loved my Maxie dolls much more than my Barbies. Barbie was always the wicked stepmother, and I had a couple of mean Barbie step-sisters too. Poor poor Maxie was so abused by the evil Barbies! I remember that my mom encouraged me to get my first Maxie doll because they had much more realistic body proportions than Barbie. Thanks mom, for helping promote a healthy self-image for me right before I hit puberty!~ Now days if you want a better doll you have to get one of those ugly big headed Brats...

My first doll

I remember when I was young, a couple or so years before I became a teenager. I got Perfect Prom a Maxie,a Christmas gift I believe. I found my old Maxie in my closet, the body cracked and hair is really short. I did by a new one she's arriving Soon. Perfect prom a Maxie,that's the one I'm getting.

I remember getting a couple of Maxies as gifts from my grandparents. I never really liked them much. Her feet were big and flat and she had huge hands.Barbie seemed more glam to me.
