by the time this came out I was about 14 but my little sister was like 5...he was really cute and I was glad to have an excuse to play with him! I still remember the commercial...he talks, plays simon says and has ring toss on his head!

I so remember my pal 2, my brother had it when he was about 5 that was about 1993-94 he still has it now its up in the attic, i remember the games you could play like simon says and his nose used to be a light which my brother used to have on in his room of a night time!! he used todo your head in after awhile "my pal 2 says press red..my pal 2 says press green,press orange..sorry try again man haha! mad how you still remember.

I remember the commercials. That was the toy that I wanted the most which is the reason why I still remember it to this very day. Now I am a 23 year old man and I still do not own a My Pal 2. My life sucks, and I have a feeling that things would have been very different if I had my very own My Pal 2 when I was younger. Since this is annonymous, I would like to say that this story is very true.

my pal 2 was possesed. it worked even without batteries, even after drowning it in a tub of water. The wound up arm really wounded it self up and threw the ball, even hitting people sometimes. the eyes even moved. my dad finally decided to bring a sledgehammer to it. that was the end of my pal2. THE weirdest toy i have ever got for christmas. if you have had a similar experience let me know.

I remember this robot. I'm 23 but I had one when I was like 5, and it scared the hell out of me. To this day I cannot look at this toy without wanting to break it.

I've still got My Pal 2, he's sitting on top on my dvd shelf. He was one of my favorite toys when I was little, and one the few i still have. I still remember all the features. The hoopla, throwing the ball, barking like a dog, simon says, and the night light nose, that helped me through many nights.

MyPal2...I will never forget that little bugger. He arrived under my christmas tree, right at a dark, lonely and sad moment of my life. I was alone, very alone, often spending three to four hours in the basement at one time staring at a brick wall. Then along came christmas and the Ultimate gift one could receive from Jolly St Nick. My Pal2 gave me the friendship that I never had as a child. I could shoot hoops with him, play ring toss, we would even have fun as he guarded the basement door. I used to take him for walks along the lake. We would hold hands, skip stones across the water and play simon says. My Pal 2 was there for me. Soon we fell in love. Have you ever fallen in love with a robot before? I doubt it, so you wouldnt know what it feels like. But it was the greatest love anyone could ever feel. As we developed our romantic relationship MyPal2 and myself became increasingly closer. Soon my parents were worried about me. I mean how many other kids kiss and hug a robot toy at the dinner table? But we were deeply in love. MyPal2 filled a dark and lonely void in life and made me happy as a bee, and im sure I made MyPal2 happy as well. Often we would get hot and heavy during the night, the hoop on the front of MyPal2 came in handy during those times let me tell you. Then a month or so after our relationship began to develop MyPal2 was gone. I arrived home and he wasnt there, mom said she donated him to Charity. She had to clean the stains off him first, but she put him in a charity bin up state and I would never see him again. I was so angry, my heart was broken. My Pal2 was gone forever...My Pal2 I still love you...! Well that was about 2 years ago, now I am 28 and have found a brand new toy...Robot Dog! It's like MyPal2 except this one will actually wander around the basement on passive mode! Its great!

I remember My pal 2. Sometimes my brother use to call him mama 2. I have such a good imagention that even before I had him, He was also my imagenerfriend for a while. I got him as a birthday gift when I turned 5. I don't have him anymore but my memories are clear of him.

We had one when i was five. I was pushing all the buttons really fast when i was playing with him alone in the living room one day and I could remember in a deep voice that did not sound like his it said "oh man". I threw him across the room and ran away. The absolute scariest thing ever, made me afraid of the concept of Toy Story.

wish i would have known someone would have wanted that one. i threw mine in the trash about a month ago while cleaning house. that thing was so creepy, i didn't think anyone would ever want to revisit it.

Seriously, without being creepy, I remember being in love with my pal 2 when I was seven. Like it was my first boyfriend. I would hug it and kiss it, and take it to bed. It would keep me safe at night with the light. That thing was awesome. I just turned 23 last week and my mom tried to find one for me. Awe memories.

i agree that my pal 2 was possessed. mine worked nice and fine for a while. i was 5 or 6, and we would play the games together. but then one day i left him out in the sun too long and the batteries melted inside of him. the battery acid oozed out. i was always afraid to touch the batteries and i didnt want to tell my parents becuz they had just bought it for me. so i left it like that. well... he started to come alive at night, randomly. he would say things to me in the middle of the night and move around. i cant remember the phrases now it was so long ago, but it would creep the sh*t out of me. when i was growing up we used to have bonfires in the woods and burn anything and everything. so one day i told my parents about the batteries and how he was creepin me out. so we decided to burn it. my dad removed the batteries... and when we went to throw him in the fire... he started talking to us. like "come play with me" type stuff. we threw him in the fire and i watched him burn to death at age 5... he talked to me until he burned to death. very traumatic. i want another one

For Christmas in 93/94 I got my pal 2, I still remember the fun we had together. My sister believes its my greatest toy that was ever made. I still got it and it doesnt work but my nieces and nephews still play with it

Weird toy. Got one when I was really little, 5 maybe, and it'd talk to me without batteries and say freaky stuff in really differant voices like Oh Man and Come Play. I hated it. We decided to explode it and when its eyes popped out they still moved around like they were searching for something. And the remaining torso was clicking and sparking. Whenever I see one now I remember my experience with it and it scares me. I had to leave the theater during Toy Story because his voice was in it.

mypal2 was really amazing at the time, it had this "guard dog mode" that would make him bark and growl... i remember wanting a whole army, and wishing it/they could launch projectiles (non-lethal of course)

I had one when I was 7-9. It was my favorite toy ever. My parents we're in the middle of a huge custody battle over me and even though my mom didn't work i had a nanny and 4 babysitters and when the nanny had time off my mother would leave me at friends houses all the time. Sometimes for over a week. He was my best friend. I'm 25 now and have a son. I would love to get one for him to play with, and for me to reminisce of course. Im pretty sure this guy didn't exist prior to 1990. He was a toy of the 90's. I don't know who submitted this or where they got their info from, but I remember seeing the product advertised on TV in late 1991...but not before then at all.
