They are still selling them on eBay! I believe the same person who invented the Baby Face dolls invented these too.

In Australia, they were collected and marketed as 'Lil' Babies' - same mould, came in white and black and had little neon/fluro bibs or nappies/diapers, and were accompanied with a little collector's booklet. Heaps on eBay. I still have a few, used to use them as Barbie's babies as well!

I used to blind fold myself and have my parents or sisters hand me them one at a time and feel the shape of them and identify which one it was... I remember two sets of them were pictured on a big box set I got of them and we spent half of a year trying to track them down but no one ever had them. I can still remember all their names and what color, sex and shape they were. I am sick.

Had them. They were adorable, even though they were small.

Cool, I'm gonna search eBay for these. I don't remember them, but they are precious!

They used to be sold one at a time in a mylar bag so you didn't know which one was inside. They sold them up at the register, so everytime we went through line at the toystore, I'd insist on getting one. Then one day we stumbled across that huge box set. I was psyched. I had my dad careful carve and buff off the big curl loops from their heads cause I thought it made them look more realistic. haha

Grace, I used to do the exact same thing and to be honest with you I could probably still name each and every one of them. I have the whole collection somewhere in safe keeping...I wonder how much I could get for them on e-bay.

Haha I remember these!! My sister was much more into them than me, though. She still has her collection. We, too, used to use them as Barbie babies! LoL I remember my sister and her friends used to fight over them and everything. She had this one named Pete that everyone wanted and she refused to trade... LoL

Going through this site I can see how fortunate I was growing up, I had so much!!! I am truely greatful and blessed. I loved these things when I was younger I used to cord them with sting and wear them, I always loved babies and my mom would get me these as little treats when I had to go to work with her or had to go to the doctor or something unpleasent.

Yes! And there was another company that ripped these off in the early 90s and they were called Litt'l Babies! I used to collect Litt'l Babies, and I still have a whole bag of them at my parents' house lol. We used to throw them in the pool and dive for them. It was a contest to see who could scoop more babies up in one breath. :)

My next door neighbor Michelle was several years younger than me. I was 11 she was 6. Her grandfather (Grandpa Eddie) was the coolest. He would come visit her every other week or so.. Each visit he would take her out to his car and open his trunk. Inside were bunches of little plastic bags. She was always allowed to pick one bag each visit. In those bags were cheap little toys. Nothing expensive but always cute. Some times it would be a mini slinky or a deck of Old Maid game cards but more often than not the surprise in the bag was an Oodles baby. I had never seen them before but soon grew obsessed with collecting them.
