Description

A plastic, curly-blond haired doll who'd try to walk or crawl and then fall down. For some reason the entire commercial is burned into my memory, and I still hum the theme song at inopportune times.

"Oopsie Daisy is learning to crawl/She's such a pretty baby./ Crawl to me as fast as can be/Whoops! Oopsie Daisy."

I remember having this as a kid, my aunt sent me one for a holiday when I was about 3...I think I ended up getting another when I got a little older too..

My best friend had one. We would make her crawl straight into a wall and watch her continue to crawl (as if trying to go through the wall). We laughed so hard! Long live the 80s!

I got my first Oopsie Daisy for Christmas '88 when I was 3 years old. I loved watching her crawl. I left her alone often and found her running into a wall or chair. She only lasted about a year, when I ripped her head off (still ran her, headless). I got another one (one of the re-developed, yet smaller, ones). She became headless too.

I had this doll and my mom hated it with a passion!!! It had the most horrible loud crying sounds ever! Mom would always take the batteries out of it and refuse to give me more, so I'd have to hunt around the house to find something with D batteries to put in her.

Wow, I just noticed that EVERY doll seemed to smell like baby powder. Strangely, the smell never goes away.

I think my mom liked it more than I did. She kept it in the box high up in my closet & I had to ask permission to play with it. Sometimes she'd even tell me no, depending on where I said I wanted to take it! And if I did play with it, I wasn't allowed to take the hair net off. haha. But I got over it. She was kind of annoying cuz all she did was crawl, fall, & cry. And you couldn't really cuddle her cuz she was stiff like a robot. She's still in storage somewhere, I'm sure.

My grandmother bought me one. I thought she could crawl down the stairs. Needless to say she died after I tried that!! I liked her though.

i remember us making up a jingle to the song since we really disliked this toy and young kids... "oopsie daisy's learning to crawl, shes such and ugly baby, she falls down the stairs and nobody cares, wooops oopsie daisy..." Man, we were harsh at 6ish years old!

I had an Oopsie daisy when I was younge...until one day she disappeared...I never knew how or why until I got much older maybe 20...my mom and dad told me she said "f you mama", so as any parent would do they took it and replaced it with a new toy that wasn't cussing! I loved that doll for as long as I did get to play with her..I was so young I don't remember hearing her say that, and I wouldn't have known what it meant anyway. They contacted the company too! Sent her back for a refund.

To all you girls that received this doll, they're great dolls, very durable! I bought one for my baby girl for her birthday or Christmas 1988. My daughter passed away unexpectedly. She never threw or gave any gift away. As I started going thru boxes, I found hers. In the original outfit. What was amazing, it'd be boxed up for at least 15 years with the batteries in it. I took old batteries out, poppedin new ones. She works like she did from the very day my daughter received her. When I'm able, I'll sell it. I bought every doll that was popular until she was older, got into Elmo. I probably have any of the dolls you girls are looking for. Contact me at rickrageous@yahoo.com.
