Description
This was an electronic pen that was designed to promote learning for children. The pen was battery operated and had a red and green LED. Red for a wrong answer and green for a correct one. The pen was used with a book that contained pages of puzzles, questions, etc. that the pen worked with.

i bought the questron magic wand and a bunch of books off of ebay in November. It took me a while to find it but every once in a while I would search for it and one time I found it. The pen was harder to find!! I used to love these books!
I still have 2 books and the pen, it works great!

How do I open the wand to change the batteries?!?

OMG i've just been on google looking for this but i didn't have the name of it quite right. I used to have one as a kid and was amazed. I was always curious at how the pen knew if i was right or wrong! Would love to get one for my son

I loved this as a kid, got it for Christmas when I was seven. I had a whole bunch of the books, mathematics, some spelling ones. The pens came in red and black I believe. I had a red one.

Weve got Challenger which is a very similar version for older children by the makers of Questron. It has more adventurous books with harder challenges - anyone heard of it?

Thank goodness I found this! the name of it was driving me insane! couldn't remember it! I had a big hard back book, one on dinosaurs and one on fire engines or something lol loved it!

Was there ever something nearly identical to this from the same time period? My sister and I recall something similar to this, but the "wand" looked nothing like this. Ours had a more metallic look and coloring to it. We recall some copper coloring as well.
Does anyone still have one a pen for sale still?
I have all of the books and three pens. The pens are not working, though and do not know why. Does anyone know what kind of batteries. 9v does not work, but that what it looks like slides in the pen. If anyone has a pen to sell, please let me know.
I am putting a brand new sealed in package wand on ebay. It is a 9 volt battery to power the pen.
