Description

These were insect/human action figures. Some came with a large insect that had a furry glove for its feet. You could put your hand in its legs and walk it around. The action figure would ride on top. There was also a short-lived cartoon series.

These figures were more articulated than any other of its time. They are the sweetness! I mean who doesn't want to be half-man, half-insect.KRH

These toys were the sh*t. And out of all the toys I had growing up....these durable toys outlasted all of them...even transformers. These were the most unique action figures and there was never crappy variants either. I wonder who submitted the photos....I would be interested in buying them.

These were durable. The wings would come off and get lost, but you could still have the critter itself walk around. My brother had the dragonfly thing, and I had the spider. Sweet.

What I remember best about these are the great commercials. They actually told a story. At the end of the ad there'd be a cliffhanger which would be resolved in the next ad.

Too bad they never made the cartoon to match the Marvel Comic Book version which was far superior to the cartoon that was actually an animated commercial. And they never talked about the full origin of the Symbion of old. This series had a lot of potential if only they had focused the brand at the teen oriented market as far as the cartoon series was concerned. If TMS or Toei had done the animation instead of Ruby Sears, it might have made a huge impression on the Sectaurs legacy instead of obcurity.
