Description
Toy put out in the late 80's. Made by Tomy. They were little guys that had a top-like bottom and you put them in the spinner wound them up and launched them into the ring to fight. Each came 2 guys and 2 spinners in a ring/carrying case. You could also buy the big battle arena.

I'm glad someone else remembers these. I still have mine, somewhere. I used to turn the tops the wrong way around and spin them on their heads, which worked fine until I tried it with a character that had horns on it's head. Now, it only has one horn.
i loveeeeeee spinjas one of the few toys i remeber i know one thing i want some damn spinjas and the arena and cases for my son who is now 5,then i will ley my daughters play too when the baby gets older and the older girl comes to visit
these were fun, until the spinners would eventually break. we used to theorize that these toys were carved out of surplus bullets. dangerous for sure, pure metal, and they would clash and shoot out of the "arena" and right at your face...as awesome as the die-cast metal voltron figure!
One of my favorite toys, in middleschool we would have spinja competitions and if you won you got to keep the losing players piece, they should redistribute this classic toy, I would diffenitely collect them.

I had lots of these guys! Why don't they make cool toys like this anymore? I miss GI Joe, M.A.S.K., Sky Commanders, Mega Force, Battle Beasts, Air Raiders and the like...
the brass bottom ones were one side and the steel bottom ones were the other, almost like the good and bad guys
I really miss these I had the big areana and we battled with them all day. Trying to collect the rare ones was always fun.
I loved this game and can remember playing it during lunch in elementary school.

I have the orange,yellow and blue arenas all complete with the spinjas and spinners,in boxes as new.Also four packs of the spinjas themselves unopened.in all 22 of the 24,does anyone know what the going price is on these?Id like to sell them, please email me dasco_77@yahoo.com
OMG, I recently found a couple of my Spinjas and my son LOVES them. My second year of college we would have Spinja tournaments in the battle dome and we'd play almost all night long. Beyblades just aren't as cool :-)
