Description
Robots made by Tomy, a sort of spin off from Zoids, had wind up features like saw blades and drills and stuff. The Starriors Base, which served as a homebase for my various assorted figures. It was a sculpted gold/brown Cobra Head that was a attached to a hexagonal pyramid, that split apart. The interior of the pyramid featured computer screens, and a few machine guns. There was a spinning orange thing on the floor. The Cobra head part would shoot away from the base, on little wheels, and also featured a hidden lever, that would open the snakes mouth to reveal an energy gun of some sort.

I had the Starriors Base, which served as a homebase for my various assorted figures. It was very beautiful. It was a well scuplted gold/brown Cobra Head That was a attached to a hexagonal pyramid, that split apart. The interior of the pyramid featured computer screens, and a few machine guns. There was a spinning orange thing on the floor. The Cobra head part would shoot away from the base, on little wheels, and also featured a hidden lever, that would open the snakes mouth to reveal an energy gun of some sort. I got it closeout at Odd Lot (Big Lots) for 7.99 in 1986. I saw why it was closed out, as apparently it was too small for the starriors figures to fit inside.

I had a blue knight lookin' guy with a spinning shield device instead of one of his hands. My brother had a character who had a circular saw blade in his torso and a presumably evil character with black arms and legs, an orange torso, and a gold pincer that moved on its chest. But I really always wanted the red and purple guy with the golden scythe mounted on his arm.

These were one of my favorite series, I think because of the comics that came with each one. Apparently there was a full-sized comic series that ran for 4 issues, but I never was aware of that at the time. My own kids are now enjoying the one Strazor I had that survived the intervening decades.
