The multi-colored bears in the photograph on this page are NOT Teddy Beddy Bear! Teddy Beddy was just one bear - he didn't have any friends or different outfits. He appeared on lots & lots of toys, though - mostly infant stuff for the crib. He showed up in 1985.

I have had my Teddy Beddy Bear since December 25 1985. I used to work at a thrift store and some one had donated one in brand new condition! So i bought that one. When I do have a child this will be my gift to them cause Teddy Beddy Bear was my favorite. I guess when i was little my mom told me that when i became old enough to talk i just started calling him "dibbity" cause i couldnt say teddy beddy bear. haha I still have my original to this day from my first christmas.

Oh, I 4got 2 add...that other pic at the top of the colorful bears that ARE NOT teddy beddy bear, I could see why some1 who might not have known what he looked like could've got him confused w/ these other bears. I bought a TBB a couple of months ago cause i wanted one for my baby when i had one, and about 4 onths after i bought it on ebay i found out i was pregnant due sept 28. My mom got me mine when i was born. I am 23yr old i had it since sept '85. It may not be in best condition but it is special none the less.

My son (age 23) had the Teddy Beddy Bear security blankie, from birth. As he got a bit bigger, he actually ended up going through 3 of them because he would walk around with the fuzzy end of the cap in his mouth and chewed through them. I did find and purchase another blankie on e-bay and will put it away for when he had a child. Also have the TBB bear and the other TBB bear which looks exactly like the blankie and is flatter than the shown above bear and has a large rattle in it. Oh, he has all his original blankies tucked away. :) Teddy is shown in the striped shirt on this page, the colored bears are not Teddy Beddy. I wish Fisher Price would remake/reintroduce the Teddy Beddy Bear line, and the Security Bunny Blanket (which my other 2 children had as babies). It would be great for the kids (now adults and parents) who had these as a baby to be able to get them for their children and babies without paying an arm and a leg. These security blankets, Teddy and Bunny were life-savers for us, and all our children still have theirs.

I got my daughters teddy beddy bear when i was still pregnant. he went into special care with her. he had his tonsils out and his apendix when she did he has been all over the place with her including abroad. now at 24 she is having her first baby my first grandchild. and i really want him to give her baby its very own teddy beddy bear to love. My girlfriend received a Teddy Beddy Bear from her grandfather on her birth date May 21, 1987. She still has it to this day and it is in very bad shape but still is very close to it.

I remember the day I got my Teddy. I was 2 years old and I saw him in the glass case in a thrift store when I was with my mom. From that day on, it was history. I understand all the other 20-something year-old people still loving their Teddys because I still sleep with mine, and I just turned 22.

It amazes me that so many people still have their Teddys. I had no idea how popular it was back in the day and to hear everyones stories really makes me love my bear even more. I've had my Betsy bear for as long as i remember (i'm 23 now). It's really beat up now, but i still go to sleep with it every night.

I bought a TBB for my son when he was born. He's now 24 and TBB has been used and enjoyed by my four grandchildren, the youngest age 1. He came in a sort of sleeping bag that velcroed to the side of the crib. I don't recall him having a blanket. Does anyone have the lyrics to the song? My mother gave my now 25 year old son a Teddy Beddy Bear (which he called Sleepy Bear) for his first Christmas in 2005. He took "Ted" (his name in later years) with him everywhere till he disappeared when my son was about 22. At some point he was given a second one (Ted 2) by friends because they thought his bear was in such bad shape, but he only slept with the original one so we still have that one in good condition. He now has twin boys and I would LOVE to find a second bear so they can each have one. Please help!

I was given my TBB when I was two (1983) by my Uncle Jerry, I grew up in switzerlad, so I had no clue what who he was. I simply knew that he belonged to me & I felt that he was me best friend & I named him Rundo. I still have Rundo to this day, wich is honestly amaizing seeing that my father thought it was hilarious to hang him out the window on the highway while I cried! Anyways, I was searching the web for 80S sleepy bears with velcro hands & finally found out whathe was. My daughter was born in Feb & I have just bought her one. I hope that she enjoys him every bit as much as I do! (I promise not to tourment her with him as my father did lol)

I bought a Teddy Beddy Bear for my son when he turned 2 (1982). the little girl next door fell in love with it and wanted one for her birthday, which was 5 days later. we lived in Germany at the time (Army) and and I had to tried many different army post exchanges to find it for her. but I did. Both of them are now getting ready to turn 30 this year (2012) and they both still have their bears. and talk about how much they care about them.

When I was born my uncle bought me a Sleepy Time Teddy Beddy Bear. He went with me every where (including college) and I slept with him every night. When my brother had his first son I actually went on E-bay and bought him the same bear which he now sleeps with every night, and my younger nephew takes his teddy blanket with him everywhere as well. Teddy is still lives in a box at my parents house and I hardly doubt I will have him for the rest of my life.

i live in newberg oregon and i am 25. i was given a teddy betsy bear by my grandmother when i was born. i loved that teddy up until the last day i had it. it was a hard time for me and i had to put all my stuff in my mothers storage the bear included. a couple years ago she lost the storage and everything was sold. i have missed my bear and have thought about buying a new one, but haven't because it wouldn't be the same. that bear was special to me and i lost it, there is not a way that i could replace her. the memories that i shared with her cant be replaced by another either. i have searched to locate the person who bought my bear but with no luck. so hold on to your bears and never let them go because you never know if that is the last time you get to hug or cuddle up with your bear.

my daughter loved teddy beddy so much that carrying him constantly actually made him fall apart...there was a small piece of fur left (3"x3") and she even carried that around...she's getting married next year and i would love to find a MINT teddy beddy...he was the cutest bear EVER!

I absolutely love Teddy Beddy Bear! He is so adorable and has precious lil sleepy eyes! I had a Teddy Beddy bear plush, wallpaper and crib decor when I was a baby. I bought a rare tiny little Teddy Beddy Bear plush from an Etsy shop a few years back and I was so delighted to find him! I had lost my Teddy from childhood and now he has a forever home with me. I wish Teddy Beddy Bear would return to production like so much of the 80s and 90s toys. I’m a 30 year old woman now but as far as nostalgic relics go, Teddy Beddy Bear will always be closest to my heart.
