It was sooooo awesome to have. The only thing i remember is it hurt when it smacked you with its tentacals. But it was so much fun, i took the pain!

I loved my Willi Waterbug! My brother & I would always play with the tentacles and try to shoot each other with it. He was the best water toy we had growing up!

I lived in Canada for a while in the early 80's and my parents bought me a Willy Waterbug. We eventually moved back to the UK, but I had my Waterbug for years after that (until he was completely battered and bruised). I think my Mum must have thrown him away in the end, but I've been on the lookout for another one for years. Why don't they make them any more?

Awesome! I'm glad I'm not the only one who remembers this. I loved Willy Water bug, but as it was a hand me down from my older sister, most of my friends don't remember him.

This was my favourite childhood outdoor toy as well. I got one from Ebay last year...and...it's just as fab as i remembered!

I loved this guy when I was young...I'm not sure what happened to it, but I suspect my dad threw it in the trash after I brought it in the kitchen and turned the water on since it was too cold to play outside. I must've been 3 I think.

They don't make toys like this anymore! My sister and I loved our Willy the waterbug! I'm 26 now and about 3 years ago our mom gave ours to the little neighbor girls. They looked at it a little funny, but they love it now!

I miss my willie the waterbug. I have looked for one for years. Why dont they reproduce this I want one for my kids. I thought I was the only one who remebered it too. His name on the box is one of the first things I remember reading.

A girl had moved from PA to NJ and brought her's with her. I had never seen one. She showed me how she liked to chew on his little rubber hoses. I was hysterical with laughter at the way the hoses shot everywhere when she turned it on!

This was my FAVORITE childhood toy. We left it in our old house when we moved 20 years ago and I still miss him :(

OMG! I couldn't remember his name but never forgot the fun my sisters and I had with him. Living in Albuquerque everyday is sunshine and everyday we'd have red marks on our legs from that violent hair but we were out there the next day ready again! I miss him, I wonder where he went.

I loved my water bug as a kid! My sons were out playing in the sprinklers when I remembered where he might be... Hiding in grandmas shed. 25 years later and he still works like I remember! I think I had mor fun playing in it than the boys

How could I ever forget those hot summer days with the Willy Water Bug? Trying to jump over the flailing "hair". It was a great way to cool down for those of us that didn't have a pool, and it was better than the boring old lawn sprinkler.

Oh Wow! This brought back some great memories as a kid. I broke this bad boy out and all my friends showed up outta nowhere lol! I bet if I got this for my boys now they'd look at me lime I was crazy lol!!
