I was born in 1967. I really can say I remember the 80s! With MTV just launching and bands like Duran Duran and Culture Club were coming over from England and making their mark. I'm glad to see some of them reuniting and playing again. They don't make videos and music like that anymore. Let's hear it for the 80s and the music that got us through our teenage years!!!!!

I am only 14 but I love the 80s. Music now days has to sound sad and depressing, why can't hey have fun like in the 80s? Def Leppard is the best band ever (RIP Steve). You may not think I know much about Def Leppard, but I am a fanatic!

Born in 1964; graduated high school in 1982. AIDS and crack were not in the public lexicon yet. The music was as great as the clothes were cheesy -- The Jam, The Clash, ABC, Soft Cell, Joe Jackson, Joan Jett, Squeeze, Blondie, just to name a few. TV was lowbrow escapist fare for the most part -- "The A Team," "Perfect Strangers," etc. Ronald Reagan and the Evil Empire were scary, and computers stored programs on casette tape. Good times ...

I was 10 when the 80s started and 19 when they ended. That really should say it all. My teenage years were spent with Mötley Crüe, Judas Priest, and Guns n'Roses. Yaz, Depeche Mode, A-ha, and most of all, Steve Perry was still in Journey. Nova Super Sports and Camaros ruled the streets, and all the guys (that counted anyway) had hair as long and wild as mine! Wearing leather meant something and there was a kegger to be found every day of the week and party hearty and awesome where the catch phrases. I took my 16 year old to disneyland last year and at the hotel we were at three Swedish triplets showed up all three looking so dangerously like Axl Rose in "Welcome To The Jungle". I mean the hair, clothes, and their skinny little butts. I nearly fainted and low and behold my daughter fell in love! We got a picture and it's been on her wall ever since. So maybe the 80s will make a comeback hopefully before we who love and remember so fondly are too old to ROCK! Until then, I'm going to keep banging my head and listening to the metal gods! METALLICA FOREVER!! helen b

The music was sheer genius and I will always listen to it.

I love the 80s because of spandex and spiked heels. I graduated grammar school in 1980 and high school in 1984 and the fashions shaped several fetishes that to this day still have a hold on me! LOL

What I love and remember most about the 80s is the fact that you could really express who you were by your fashion and your hair. I was born in 1975, so I was in my teens in the 80s. My childhood friends and I were all huge 80s fans. Def Leppard, Skid Row, Bon Jovi, Guns n Roses, were always playing on our tape cassettes. We would have contests to see who could get their hair teased the highest and we would actually measure the height. I remember my first Bon Jovi concert, they came with Skid Row, and just to see Jon bounce around on stage with his tight spandex red, and black pants was a teenage girl's dream come true. As the latter years started there was Mötley Crüe and Poison who we considered gods. Anyway, it's hard to find anyone who loves the 80s as much as me, until now when I found this website. Is a lonely world without having much in common with people when it comes to music. Long live the the 80s, big hair, ripped jeans, Aqua Net and guitar solos.

Well, the 80s were the greatest thing ever. The movies, music, and clothes were awesome. We all could relate to that time. The music was something you could actually dance too. Hearing the songs brings back the time that you will remember . I know I will! People say they will never come back, but they have. But one thng they need to really bring back... the music!

I love the 80s so much. It's the best decade ever! I was born in 1991 but I wish I was born in 1971. I love everything about the 80s. The music, clothes, hair, movies and t.v. I dress 80's everyday. 80's clothes are the best!I hate the clothes of the 00s. I don't wear flared jeans, only straight legged for me. All of these ugly 60s and 70s styles are back and I don't like it! Thee music is all I listen to. I love The Cars, Duran Duran, Cyndi Lauper, Heart, Bon Jovi, Def Leppard, Ratt, Debbie Gibson and much more. The movies are great too. I wish it was the 80's right now. I know it'll never happen and that makes me sad. I wanna be in the 80's so bad! Oh well. I'll always love the 80s! They're like totally rad, dude!

What I love about the 80s were the arcade games such as: Donkey Kong, Joust, Centipede, Dig Dug, and of course my favorite has to be Space Invaders not the violent games of today. The fashion of the 80s were for the guys: IOU, two tone pants, and of course Z.Caverechi's the long hair leather pants, studded belts, and ripped jeans. The music: KISS, Twisted Sister, Guns n' Roses, Van Halen, Poison, and The Police. All in all it was the best decade ever! My only wishes are that someone invent a time machine so we can all go back to the 80s and also if someone could open up an 80s store with everything 80s in it. I will go in there and spend all my money!

I was born in 1969. I graduated high school in 1987. The 80s were the best, most carefree time in the past 30 years. The music was loud, the girls were adventureous, and if you had long hair - you were gettin' laid!! I'm so sick of people saying that 80s music was so superficial and cheesy. There were some incredible "virtuoso" musicians during that time. Hey metal fans, let's start with Randy Rhoads, and how about George Lynch, Warren DiMartini,Yngwie Malmsteen, etc? I'm looking for like-minded friends in the Denver area. If you're having a hard time finding other 80s metalheads in the area , let me know. I'm looking for someone to bang heads with!!

So lets start... I was born in 1981 so generally in the 80s I was a kid. However I have not typical situation, cause I'm from Poland. So as you probably know, Poland was on Soviet influence until 1989 - so because of that in my country, the 80s were a little longer then normal ;) Let me explain: the Communists were blocking every 'West Things' I mean movies, fashion etc. But when in 1985, Gorbachev took power in the USSR, situation was changed - he made a deal with Mr. Reagan so we (in Poland, Hungary, Czechoslovakia) could, at last feel the taste of the real (not communist) 80s... Colorful clothes came on the streets, youths bought their boomboxes. In TV, cartoons appeared (Scooby Doo and so on). We could legally listen to Western music: 'Who made who' by AC/DC (1986), 'So far So good So what' by Megadeath(1987) (I was a metal fan since I was 6 :D) The truth is that, 'thx' for communist goverment our 80s end was 2 or 3 years later, I think 1992 was the border. Thanx to all that I could 'have fun' with the 80s longer and better to remember that beautiful day of may childhood. And now, after over 20 years my favorite movie is 'Top Gun'. I still listen to 'Def Leppard', 'AC/DC', 'Van Halen', 'Manowar' Hail to the 80s... I'm a real child of 80s :D
